Just in case anyone else is considering these - brief update as I have now put about 2500 miles on them.
They're still pretty noisy. If we were within the 2 month return window, I'd exchange them, I miss how quiet the previous tires were, and my family still complains about the sound...
Hi,
Tried to access theater mode for the first time since V11 while parked tonight.
None of the options are responsive to clicks, e.g. YouTube, Netflix etc. The message at the top of the screen says "Available when Parked" (see image below) even though the car was clearly in park as indicated...
Just back from a road trip, probably 1000 miles on the tires now. I’m not sure if they are getting quieter, we’re getting used to them, maybe a bit of both, but I think we’ll keep them. They do him a little still, but finding them better overall. Seeing 285 wh/mi so far after 1000 miles...
I recently replaced the OEM Michelin Primacys with AS4s on the recommendation of my local tire shop.
I like the feel of them but they are very noisy from 40mph upwards. So much so that my wife and kids were complaining about them today on the freeway and asking me to play music to drown the...
I’ve experienced phantom braking a few times, usually in response to shadows on the road going under a bridge, no other vehicles in front. No discernible pattern other than that.
Scared the poop out of my wife, she’s not keen on me using AP as a result.
3 months, 6000 miles.
Loose and getting worse stitching on steering wheel, replaced under warranty with a bit of pushing necessary.
Driver's lumbar support motor failed, replaced under warranty by mobile ranger.
Driver's seat lumbar adjustment has stopped working, no sound from the motor. Passenger side working fine, and I can hear motor on that side.
I've put in a SC request, just wondering if this is common/a known issue?
I was in a SC yesterday, as I was waiting to buy birthday presents for my son, discussing this with an advisor. He says so many parents have the car sold to them by their kids.
The Tesla experience is so game changing- anyone who has ridden in our Model 3 wants to get one.
That would be awesome. Kind of like human v robot.
LoL, I'll let him know. Unfortunately no falcon wings on the 3
Ha, well I felt he deserved a Model 3 ;). A P3- :D.
Right. I was operating indicators, with nothing like his dexterity, and he was manually operating all the lights. No practice, one take!
Lol, I'm ask him
My 10 year old son is a massive Tesla fan and was instrumental in us buying the car. He keeps saying he's so happy we got our Model 3, has a Tesla shirt he wears every day (and sleeps in- it gets a lot of washing!), and has taught me stuff about the car.
He got this idea having seen a Model X...
I bought the setup recommended in link below, SD card in a USB reader. 2 months, zero issues.
Best USB Drive for Tesla DashCam and Sentry Mode - Pure Tesla
Definitely notice the most punch from a standing stop. In gear acceleration is less of a dramatic difference, if you look at speed/torque comparisons across the models, you see less gap at the rolling speed levels.
Also, I think the more you get used to the instant torque, the less of an impact...
I dropped off M3 today for some minor attention, got Uber credits. Car might be in for a few days, they said they would recharge the credits if needed.
Regen slows you to about 5mph, if you need to come to a complete stop, braking is needed for the last few mph. You can just let the car slow to a stop but requires more time.
Autopilot is awesome on a highway imo, ie used as intended.
OP, you get used to the acceleration and regen.
When my wife and kids are in the car, I can drive it like an old slow pussycat, the pedal is very easy to control once you get used to it, both for go and stop. Regen can be very gentle, you just have to drive like that.
First few weeks I was...
I really don't understand this mentality, unless you are leasing. Why settle for a noisy, polluting ICE throwback when you have such an awesome car?
OP, road trips are the best fun in a Tesla. The car is built for high mileage, no engine to wear out. We have so much fun in ours we have put...
Be prepared for the time warp- your current car will instantly feel 10 years older when you get back in after the test drive.
Tesla don't do hard sell, even at quarter end in my experience. She sounds like a recent hire who hasn't been disabused of the 20th century dealer mindset yet.
Enjoy...
Cabin noise is quiet imo
Don't miss blind spot monitor once I adjusted my mirrors properly. RCTA, don't miss it either.
AP is super reliable for me if I use it per the manual
So I don't use creep.
It's not the hold setting as I feel this click or shift both before and after hold engages, seemingly. randomly Tonight I heard an audible sort of click sound.
Any other theories?
Wondering if anyone else has experienced this and or knows the cause?
At a complete stop, foot on the brake, sometimes it sort of gives, like the pedal travels further and it feels like a mild click into place. It's not hold being activated, it usually happens after hold shows up on the...
It's funny, all this panel gap and paint business...now I scrutinize lots of cars in traffic. I regularly see discernible to the eye panel gap differences, saw a glaring one on a Honda the other day.
Also my last car, a Toyota, had minor paint imperfections that I only noticed months later...
I appreciate your dilemma. We all want things to be perfect. My last car was a Toyota, it had some scratches on the lower front fender at delivery. I was gutted and wanted to walk away.
They offered to buff it out, and once I got over my initial reaction I let them. It was not at all visible...
That effect is much more common than people realize on most modern cars. But it's only visible with the right lighting.
A quick Google shows how prevalent it is, eg
