    Uk plug charging now 13amps?

🤣🤣🤣 It's the mobile charger that came with my UK 2019 SR+. Interesting that Italy allows higher continuous draw even though their mains plugs are tiny compared to ours, even the Swiss ones are slightly beefier than Italian plugs. Maybe because it's been living outside for the past 4 years it's...

    Uk plug charging now 13amps?

Good call, I have a spare mobile charger, I’ll give that a go.

    Uk plug charging now 13amps?

Thanks about the extension lead advice, I got thick gauge cables specifically for car charging from an ev specialist cable company. I regularly check my connections for any signs of melting/blackening. So far so good after more than 4 years.

    Uk plug charging now 13amps?

I did notice an increase in speed. I only charge at night using the cheaper rate 12-7am and looking at the Stats app, it put in a fair amount more than the previous charge cycles that took place the nights before which would indicate it only started doing this recently. Stats shows a charge...

    Uk plug charging now 13amps?

I was checking my car charging this evening and it now seems to support the full 13 amps? See screenshot. I’ve been charging my car at home using the 3pin charger for the past 4 years (using heavy duty cables from the plug socket) and it’s always been stuck at 10 amps which I understand is a...

    [UK] 2022.40

Things I noticed so far with this update: 1. Auto headlights seem to work much better than previously, been a frustrating feature for a long time, but after a few night time drives they seem much better and detecting oncoming traffic. 2. Limited regenerative breaking icon is there but not the...

    UK standard 3 pin charging

Also been charging using a 3 pin plug for the past 2 years and it's worked flawlessly. The plug I'm using was installed in the last 5 years when I modernised the garage so it will have modern wiring. It's going through a heavy gauge extension cable outdoors to a waterproof plug housing into...

UK For Sale / Wanted / Free [closed for new items]

2 spare front boot liners for free (fits 2019-2020 model year without air-source heat pump). These were sent by mistake when I ordered something else. They are the cheaper ~£10 variety but still better than nothing! I already have one so don't need them. I'm based in East Lothian so PM me if...

Can a tow bar be fitted after delivery?

That's great info. I was after fitting a bike carrier rather than towing anything. I'd rather have it at the back rather than the roof as it's a better solution, both in terms of aerodynamics, ferry limitations and lifting the bike onto the carrier. Need to see what's available for the M3 in the...

Can a tow bar be fitted after delivery?

Any updates on post-sales tow bar options? When I ordered mine last year it was not an option and I'd like to stick a couple of bikes on the back.

Has Anyone Successfully Signed in to YouTube?

I kind of want to use my account so it has all my subscriptions etc ... I finally got it to work after multiple attempts, not sure what caused it to finally work but going through the Plex app eventually worked. All my subs are now back in the youtube app. Thanks!

Has Anyone Successfully Signed in to YouTube?

Plex no longer works as a youtube sign-in workaround, just get spinning wheel when selecting google sign-in option. Anyone else have this issue? Tried rebooting still no go.

Anyone heard of Jedlix? Anybody signed up?

I have signed up and it does what I was doing manually before; gets the car charging when the grid has spare capacity - I used to set my car to charge at 1am to help grid balance. I am on a fixed tariff so no incentive for me to do it but I got an electric car for a reason, right? The advantage...

    Model 3 Mud flaps

I have the cheap white ebay flaps all round and one of the front ones clipped a particularly steep speed bump. The 2 bottom plastic poppers broke but they did not fall off or damage to the car. Got new poppers and they are as good as new.

    Rub mark in rear lights

So the lights in question are the ones on the boot door itself so no boot carpet. I'd need to pull back the plastic cover to access the lights which I'm not too keen on doing myself. The lights are these, arrows pointing to the marks: Close up looking in from the side shows the red part...

Is there dislike towards EV drivers in the UK?

German build quality isn't as impressive as you might think. While it's not going to be the most reliable list, it's probably a good general indicator. My M3 isn't perfect, not by a long way, plenty of slightly misaligned bits, but once you take 3 steps back, you can't tell. Above all, I...

    Rub mark in rear lights

Indeed, perfect weather for ceramic coating too, first time and seems to have gone on well, just need to see how well it hold up. Here are some pics, before the clean: after + ceramic coating: Detail of light with issue (clean this time):

    Rub mark in rear lights

Thanks, I'll check that. Strange that they are equally loose on both sides. Apologies about the dirty lights, just been on a 2.5k miles road trip to Spain. Guess who is now self-isolating ...

Anyone else seen this? The red light is rubbing on the inside of the clear plastic, same on both sides.

Loud noise from AC when set to Auto

Just been in Spain in the heat and confirm the same noise in my M3 when cooling the car before getting in. Only initially for a couple of minutes when running on full blast. Glad to see it's the same for everyone, my first reaction was that it was faulty although since it still cooled the car...

    2020.24.6

Looks like it may be a random distribution - many times did I read here in the comments how others obtained the latest and greatest update (I too have FSD and early release selected) days before I got it. This time, I got it early, yesterday morning, before I got to read about it anywhere.

Tesla M3 essential accessories and online UK based supplier?

I have not measured it but I would say there is a slight drop in noise at all speeds. The door closing sound is better and the door sills do not fill up with muck anymore which I do prefer :-)

    2020.4

So my M3 updated last night as I set it to do so about 10 pm but was showing the "Updating finishing" screen with the update progress bar almost at the end when I got into the car this morning. It must have been stuck in this mode all night. Soft reset did not work, the screen remained black...

Tesla M3 essential accessories and online UK based supplier?

There's a french based company with a good range of stuff. Ordered a few things like the softer frunk spring, centre console wrap, door seal kit and pretty happy with the quality of these: Premier Magasin Européen d'accessoires pour Tesla

18" Aero vs 20" Performance: Ride Quality, comfort, noise etc

Don't think that should be an issue, I have a Skoda Octavia with 16" OEM wheels to which I fitted 15" wheels for winter tyres and the insurance company were fine with it.

18" Aero vs 20" Performance: Ride Quality, comfort, noise etc

Has anyone tried putting smaller diameter wheels on their M3? I'm thinking of trying some 17" or even 16" (should they fit with regards to the brakes). Mainly for ride comfort but also cost and selection of available tyres. It should also improve efficiency to a small degree, although the...
