    Mid aero undertray damage

They've now told me because they didn't quote me before the job, they're not charging me 'on this occasion as a gesture of goodwill'. I hate that term, it's a convenient way of saying "We're still blaming you". However, the end goal is the same... faith restored!

    Mid aero undertray damage

Hi all, My 2020 Model 3 fabric undertray was damaged recently after driving through a puddle. A cursory Google search indicates that this has been a common problem with this car. Tesla Dartford are trying to charge me a couple of hundred quid to replace it, despite me not really thinking it's...

    Motor whine

I'm 3000 miles in to M3P ownership, and I could swear the motor (not sure if it's front or back) is whining more than it used to. It's a high pitched whine - under part throttle, it's intermittent like a square wave form, and becomes steady under heavier acceleration. I assume this is just the...

    [UK] 2020.28.x

3 updates in 3 days! The red dot on the sentry viewer is a godsend, though they really should've done that on first implementation. Trawling 10 minutes of footage wasn't fun!

No problem. Just take the wheels off.

Brakes slamming on in cruise control

I did notice that my speed limiter dropped a bit on some of the braking occasions (set at 70, and then noticed it had dropped to 65 or so after the braking). I initially put it down to personal error, but a momentary change of speed limit might have that effect too I suppose. Definitely a...

    Phantom braking still an issue

Ah, I didn't realise that it wasn't camera sign recognition like my last car. That would explain it!

Brakes slamming on in cruise control

I did that for a while before I developed a complete distrust for the system. I went back to full human control when I accidentally brake checked a van full of scaffolders!

Brakes slamming on in cruise control

That section didn't seem any better or worse than the M6 to me. It didn't discriminate, it was uniformly dangerous throughout!

    Phantom braking still an issue

I didn't see this thread, so I started a new one. My apologies. For the record, on two 250 mile journeys yesterday and today (M3P, hardware version 3.0, latest software), I experienced; Multiple instances of hard phantom braking when passing under motorway bridges (dull light, drizzle/rain...

Brakes slamming on in cruise control

I've just finished my first long motorway drive after finally venturing out of rural Suffolk. I was hoping autopilot would make the journey nice and painless, but it kept me on my toes and made me look like a bit of a tool. Multiple times while in adaptive cruise (non-FSD model 3) the car...

Thank heavens for the weekly shop..!

It's not about the traffic, it's about the collisions and the extra strain at the worst possible time on the hospitals from RTCs that will inevitably happen. You may be a carrier, you may infect five NHS staff or Police who tend to you... you'll take up a vital ambulance, a bed, you might even...

I wish sentry mode would realise when it's me, and not log an event if I unlock the car within a certain amount of time!

Power trunk and frunk [pre 2021 Model 3]

Presumably this will close them too? Having come from cars with automatic tailgate closure, slamming the tinny Tesla boot feels very cheap.

    Another Autosteer Question

I don't find this to be true. Even on the centre screen graphic, where it displays where it thinks the centre line and curb are, it often is still well left of centre.

    Model 3 Performance price increase?

I'm not sure what the disagreement is about. The grant is still there for sub £50k cars, and there is plenty of choice nowadays at those prices. If you're buying a £50k plus car, you shouldn't need the grant, but regardless you claw some of it back by avoiding the luxury car tax. But the...

    Model 3 Performance price increase?

They have axed the luxury car tax on EV cars, which is worth the best part of £2k over 5 years. The 0% BIK deal is massive too, particularly as it'll target high mileage company car drivers. I'd say they're doing plenty.

    Clearing a notification

Hi all. I took delivery of a car yesterday. It has a notification, which I've posted a picture of. Any ideas how to clear it? I can't get through to Tesla any more (they'd previously asked if I'd rebooted.. I have now and it hasn't helped). Cheers.

    AutoXP Delivery Experiences

I had AutoXP. On the morning of my delivery, the tracking app changed to 'delivered' first thing with no sign of the car. I got a number to call from Tesla, and after a few calls finally got through to someone (who was lovely to be fair). She promised a call back with an update within an hour...

It actually arrived! The delivery app must have been psychic. Just taken it for a pootle and this thing is going to take some getting used to! Mind bendingly fast, and the regen braking is strange but intuitive.

Did you guys set up an account in advance, or did they do it as part of the delivery process? Sorry I keep asking questions on here, the tesla process is infuriatingly uninformative.

Model 3 clear matte wrap in London...

All I know is to have it done properly with decent wrap like Xpel Stealth it costs thousands. £3-4k for a full wrap, on the sites I've seen. I've thought about it in the past, but unless I had a supercar it doesn't feel worth it.

Yep, got the RN from Tusker and Tesla told me the rest. Standard spec M3P, in ubiquitous white/black. It was advertised as a stock deal from the start, and I couldn't amend the spec in any way.

    2019/20 Orders and Deliveries [closed]

Spoke to Tesla today, and not only do I have a VIN but a registration number as well! Only ordered through Tusker last week. Now my company just have to get their arse in gear, as the whole chain is waiting on their approval of my salary sacrifice request. I wish I wasn't so impatient :D

    Model 3 Leasing UK

£520 per month net for a M3P with 10k miles. It depends on tax band etc, but your quote for a standard range sounds very expensive.
  43. Pablosammy

    Model 3 Leasing UK

This isn't an issue with Tusker specifically. Not everyone who uses Tusker has their pension affected by the arrangement, we certainly don't see an effect. It's something that needs considering on an individual basis.

    Model 3 Leasing UK

It's well known that the NHS deals are ridiculous and not really representative, and also that they're a minefield with the impact on pensions.

On salary sacrifice? Who through?! That would work out as £440pcm net (assuming higher rate tax) for a fully maintained and insured M3P, right? My Tusker M3P order is £520 pcm net, so not a million miles away...

    Show me your centre consoles

I can't stand piano black soft plastic trim. It looks awful in a base spec Corsa, it looks awful in a £100k M6... at least it does as soon as a speck of dust or rogue fingerprint ruins the perfect inky darkness. And don't get me started on how it looks after a wipe down or two, with swirls and...

    Insurance UK

I'm having my insurance as part of my lease deal, but thought I'd run a quote to aid the man maths justification. LVE, £656 for me and my OH on an M3P with 10k miles, living in low-crime Suffolk. They were by far the cheapest too! Didn't really know what to expect, but it was still on the high...
