I tried the bumper trim too, but I found the wheel well to be the best option. It wasn't enough room to get a pair of channel locks or even needle nose pliars inside without removing the wheel, but it was just enough to get my fingers on the nut.

I had to open up the wheel well by carefully pulling back the liner. I didn't get it open very much, but it was enough to get a couple fingers inside. I tried applying the JB Weld with a chopstick at first, but fingers were more successful.

I recommend you take it to Costco if you're a member. It's cheap, and at least at my local Costco, they have a set of jack pads. Quick and easy.

I wouldn't be so sure. My wife has had her MYLR for 6 months and 6800 miles, and they still crackle just as much. She hates that my Inductions are quiet while her Geminis are so loud (comparatively). It's to the point that she's ditching the hubcaps.

I received my VIN 24 days before delivery. I imagine there's quite a bit of variation though, because from what I understand, receiving a VIN means your vehicle is built, but then it needs to be shipped to your local area. That's where you're going to run into delays. Until you receive a VIN...

My guess is this may have something to do with the fact that driving with earphones for the purpose of listening to audio is illegal in most states. Tesla is probably trying to cover its assets from a potential lawsuit.

Congrats! Just FYI, it was 24 days between VIN received and delivery for me. I'm guessing you will need to tack on a few days for the trip to Maui. You'll probably get a couple more EDD updates.

Don’t overthink it. I use Costco. They even had the jackpoint pads for Teslas. I’m not from Kitsasp County anymore, but I was stationed at Bangor a while ago. I remember there was a Costco in Silverdale. I’m guessing it’s still open. They’re probably the cheapest option.
