Called by Internal Sales on 3/6 for 2 week delivery and still no car #Vin 515X

I was called out of the blue by the internal sales team and given a 48 hour window to buy a Model X that was to be delivered by the end of March. They said they had 2 slots open and guaranteed I would have it by the end of March. I was scheduled to pick up my car at the end of March, so I...

    Soundproofing The P85+

I have installed a complete interior dynamat and upgraded stereo system on my P85+ because of such harsh road noise. After spending 6K on the stereo/soundproofing, the stereo sounds great. The soundproofing may have helped by about 15% only...not sure if it was work the 3K to do it.

NHTSA Tire issue reported on Tesla 21 Inch tires

If I could get 10K, I woudn't even complain. I am at 5300 miles and need a new set of tires. I am so scared to drive it hard because of the tire issue the last 1K miles, that i have averaged 295kw/hr. I might have bought 60kw... I was one of the very first P85+ deliveries so there must be an...

NHTSA Tire issue reported on Tesla 21 Inch tires

Let me explain a bit further for everyone. I brought my car into service at 3700 miles to get the 2nd row cupholders installed(a complete waste so far, but only $150) and to have the order the parts for the moonroof noise leak. I asked them to do an alignment check since I was also concerned...

NHTSA Tire issue reported on Tesla 21 Inch tires

Mine are 21 inch michelin ps2 on a P85+. These michelins are warranted to drive 20K miles, but if I got 10-15K miles on them, I would be thrilled. I drive it very kindly and averaging 334KW for 5 K miles. The reason it is important for another authority to know is that Tesla has done nothing...

NHTSA Tire issue reported on Tesla 21 Inch tires

People need to complain to NHTSA on their website and if so, they will start an investigation into it. It's foolish for us just to complain on the forums here and get stonewalled by Tesla. I love my P85+, but I can't just put it ff that it is a new design flaw and to live with it. If many...

NHTSA Tire issue reported on Tesla 21 Inch tires

What car buyer of a 4 door sedan is okay changing tires at 5K miles. In my M5, they lasted 15K miles with the same michelins. Don't you think Tesla should address this issue??? It does seem like a safety concern to me. Who would ever think to replace tires that early?? Do they expect me to...

NHTSA Tire issue reported on Tesla 21 Inch tires

It appears that no one else besides Tesla owners know about the tire issues that some are experiencing. The first complaint was filed to NHTSA about the early tire wear on some Model S cars. If people remember, this was the same issue found in the Acura NSX when it was first released. Acura...

I put 21" Conti's on my P85+....don't do it...putting dynamats and Reus Sound instead

I can definetely hear much less noise from the rear....but the front wheel well is so damn annoying that the muted noise in the back doesn't make much difference....any other good ideas??

I put 21" Conti's on my P85+....don't do it...putting dynamats and Reus Sound instead

Its definitely worth it to get Reus stereo upgrade. they are very knowledgeable and its 5 times better than the stock upgrade package. After spending 130K for car, its one thing that I can't do without. cost me 3.7K. Totally worth it. Now the car seems like it is a step closer to...

I put 21" Conti's on my P85+....don't do it...putting dynamats and Reus Sound instead

I am currently putting dynamats in the entire car....so far the installer seems to think it will make a huge difference. I am extremely optimistic. We shall see

I put 21" Conti's on my P85+....don't do it...putting dynamats and Reus Sound instead

So I have a P85+ that I had delivered 2 weeks ago. I love the handling and it drives as its on rails. Its arguable one of the best sports sedans out there, but since it has no engine, you become much more sensitized to the harsher ride quality and noiser cabin compared to the P85(although...

My initial impression of my P85+ performance

So I swapped on 21 inch continentals for my 21 inch michelins, hoping that the car would drive smoother, but the noise was unchanged, and the car handles much much worse. It almost drove like a P85!! So I put my michelins back on... So my advice to those with a P85 is if they want much better...

Should have had him drive a P85+.....maybe that would convince him.

My initial impression of my P85+ performance

I just drove a 85Kw today, and it is definitely smoother, but does not handle anywhere like my car; I am getting used to the firmer ride, but am considering getting 20 inch wheels with some more rubber....

Speed Difference on Performance + Vs Performance & Tire Wear Concerns

see my thread about my peformance 85+. Just got mine 2 days ago. Handles beautifully, but its definitely a harsher ride quality. If you only need straight line accel, and want better compliance, then go with the regualr P85

My initial impression of my P85+ performance

I have just readjusted the tire pressures--the door panel states the front should be 38psi and rears 42. My were delivered with 45 psi all around...let's see if this makes a difference, but it shouldn't really that much. Getting the parcel shelf does eliminate the reverb quite a bit. I may just...

My initial impression of my P85+ performance

I have reviewed some other posts about the P85+, and everyone talks about the dynamics of the drive; how well it handles, corners, and maneuvers. For me, that is great and all, but lets review what it says: Performance Plus takes one of the world's best sedans into supercar handling...

My initial impression of my P85+ performance

So after so much anticipation, I finally got my pearl white P85+/twin chargers/moonrof/tech/childseats today. I have been scouring this forum for the last several months actively reading and absorbing all the nuances with the car. I have some experience with high end cars with my previous cars...

My anxiety filled journey from an intelligent 60 to a loaded P85+

It's funny how so many of us have the same story to tell....i initially started to order a 85kw, the got cold feet when they asked me to lock in pricing in december...so I changed my deposit to the Model X....then I saw the model s and test drove it again.....I rationalized that I should just...

Some Amateur Advice for Telsa...from a loyal Tesla convert.

I am glad there is some food for thought for everyone...hopefully Tesla is seeing this too.....just wanted to prod them so that Tesla continues to be successful. The initial reason I wrote this was that I would have had better peace of mind what to get if of the 85 vs P85 vs P85+ if I got to...

Some Amateur Advice for Telsa...from a loyal Tesla convert.

Of course I buy things online. My point it that if Tesla wants to go from a Niche company to something global, Tesla has to reach out to everyone. I know plenty of people who refuse to buy things online, not just my sister. Most people over 65 don't ever order things online...how is Tesla going...
