I’ve had multiple incidents like OP described / the video. Easily reproducible on narrow lane roads where the car appears to steer at traffic and sometimes repeatable without traffic.
Crossing double yellow lines happens. I’ve had it do it to avoid an SUV which turned in front of me. A normal...
Can anyone confirm they've been able to get 250kW here yet? Despite being in the range where I'd expect 200+ it was a peak of 120kW or so. No issues in getting max speeds before or after this single charge.
No, looks like it has a slight lean (<5 deg) and probably lifted the bolts a little. This is the most visible station you can see in my earlier photo. Hitting it was impressive, but totally possible without touching a bollard as this is one of the most exposed stations.
Also the lighted logo...
FYI with all the bollards thought theses would have been safe but nope - looks like someone backed into 2B and it took out the 4 stations on that cabinet.
I've been thru here a few times now and without fail I get local pull up and ask me what's going on and how it works. I know Tesla doesn't...
Sure am glad they put 12 stalls here - 1/3 (cabinet #1 inc trailer station) are down again. Past couple days at least all 12 are functioning in the morning and by afternoon we’re back to 8. Clearly a tech is resetting a breaker (or something) and not fixing the actual problem. Hope the...
The pic above is the top of “cabinet 3” with about half an inch of coolant - the rest was on the ground. The other two are full to the brim - hard to get a good pic but here’s a full one for reference.
Currently only running at 2/3rds capacity (4 stalls closest to the ChargePoint DCFC station down). Looks like the cabinet dropped most of it’s coolant! 😬
Looks like it’s ready to go. Transformer is in. Blue Ridge (LPC) meters are set but not active. I’d be surprised if Tesla didn’t have these online soon. Gonna be a real nice stop.
It’s gonna be a real nice / fast stop for anyone on I-85N. For anyone heading south the roads in are a little confusing.
Hopefully we start to see more of these collocated with gas stations - it’s nice to have facilities available.
Why doesn't this site look like the original plan with pull thru charging stations? There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to the orientation stalls are being installed lately.
I vastly prefer the way they've been installed vs the plan but why the lack of consistency?
I still don't understand why Tesla doesn't FSD in and out of supercharger locations. It's a known space that rarely changes and would significantly elevate the experience. At large supercharging locations have some unloading bays adjacent to the coffee shop etc. Heck, they've already...
It's negligent you haven't installed a paid public / private charging station prior to now. Most businesses of this size have multiple options for charging. Environmentally, employee retention, cost conscious (facilities vehicles?), visitor infrastructure, board member requested - the...
Does anyone know the nomenclature behind the stall numbering? 1A, 1B, 1C, 1D, 2A, 2B, 2C, 2D, 3A, 3B, 3C, 3D.
Not even running yet and already they're all populated with business cards for a detailer.
Probably should have included this - there’s two (2), dual ChargePoint (I’m guessing 6.6kW) L2 chargers on the SW end. Also not running yet - the missing meter is likely for these given how “light duty” the install is.
Fitting isn't the issue - stepping into / sliding out of a new F-150 is easy but twisting into and particularly dragging yourself out of a Model 3 sucks by comparison.
Model 3 is awesome - I don't regret it, but miss lots of things like cooled seats, easy exit and ride height / view. Some...
My last vehicle would periodically check. If the tire went flat at 4.30am, I would get a notification on my phone.
It's nice to know you have a flat before pulling out the drive to get to work / an appointment. It's kind of strange, the bluetooth has to be "alive" most of the time for key...
No worries. It's never broken - only just a new feature.
You might be in luck thou - I was very surprised to get Creep and Roll back with the 2020.48.10 update.
I used personal check for all but the $100 order fee. While there, I did overhear a delivery advisor saying they've recently setup to initiate ACH from inside the vehicle and he wanted to try it with someone else having their Model Y delivered. YMMV.
