Still holding 7/24 2PM ETD for now. Let's hope that Tesla Engineering will release the hold after fixing whatever the issue is. Good that they identified it now rather than later assuming it's a safety related fix.

My delivery rep said that if i'm out of town when the car delivery is scheduled, they will accept any time that works for me once the hold is released. Unless you plan to drive the new car on you trip, you should be fine to schedule the delivery on your return.

Probably a critical patch was rolled out based on production build and testing it on cars that are already on road before pushing the update to cars due for delivery. Still holding 7/24 2PM as ETD for my car. 🤞

Yes, it's based on the build and i was told that the car which were out of production line in last one week to 10 days which were in transit to delivery centers last week were asked to keep on HOLD by engineering team.. appx 2000 Model S cars.

Yes my delivery was initially set to today but got pushed to 7/24 after the factory hold news came in to delivery center from their engineering group for cars produced in last 7 to 10 days (~2000 units).

Well.. lot of stuff that Tesla did in this whole refresh didn't make sense initially... let's see what unfolds in next one week.

Got a call from delivery center few minutes ago, stating that they are still waiting for instructions from Fremont engineering team on how to get the issue fixed. Since it's remote fix, i'm assuming it's a software patch to address the issue. She said at this time don't have any timline.

That's not entirely true.. you need to select the option to cover accessories. Having receipts mean nothing to Insurance unless you have right coverage options selected.

PPF is an addon and not part of your car cost indicated in MVPA. You may need to choose an option whether Insurance covers up to certain amount for accessories... Expect your rate to go up with these additionals.

I would say hold tight.. what's your configuration? Once the VIN is assigned, typical schedule for delivery is 2-3 weeks. Most of the time 2 weeks. Ask your SA to confirm the current location of the car.. like whether it's still in production line, ready to load into truck, in transit etc. VIN...

I don't get how white interiors will help in reducing the cabin heat. I get the point that white exterior will reflects more and absorbs less heat. If this applies to white interior, wouldn't the cabin become hot due to reflection of heat resulting in cabin becoming more hot?
