3 Powerwalls 10 kw system, got my check $3700 just about the same as last year.

Rhode Island National Grid "Conditional Approval"?

I had the same problem with NG RI and Tesla. It was completely Teslas fault the entire time. They submitted the wrong documents more than once, they never sent over any paperwork saying the install was complete, they constantly blamed National Grid.

Me too! better late than never.

Connected Solutions Real-World Experiences (MA - National Grid / EverSource)

I'm waiting too. RI National Grid here. If it's coming from National Grid this year and not Tesla we are screwed, they suck. Got my check from Tesla last year the first week in December. Everything National Grid does takes way longer than it should.

    Supercharger - Macon, GA

The navigation does monitor the status of superchargers, in fact, I was on a road trip recently and a supercharger that I was navigating to that was 2 hours away went down. A message popped up on the screen letting me know a supercharger was offline and the car navigated to a different one. My...

    OFFICIAL BUTTON WATCH

This is not happening as Elon said. He said the button would download FSD Beta. All that happened when I just pushed it is it registered my interest and was placed in the queue. I thought my 10K registered my interest previously.

Storm Watch failed us again [in MA, Late July 2021]

How would they ever connect my account here to my Tesla account. From my profile here they only know I live in Rhode Island, I'm sure I'm not the only Tesla customer with Powerwalls in RI. They needed my SN to link my account here with what was going on with my Powerwalls.

Storm Watch failed us again [in MA, Late July 2021]

After posting on this thread about no storm watch and an event during a thunderstorm, I got a PM from someone "from" tesla asking me to send my Powerwall serial number to them via email. I sent it, it was to an @tesla.com email address and I figured what could someone do with just my SN. I got...

Connected Solutions Real-World Experiences (MA - National Grid / EverSource)

When I first signed up I got an email from Tesla saying that it is up to the utility if they want to notify on a per-event basis. I don't get notified. You can tell in the app if tomorrow is going to be an event day. For me anyway, the powerwalls seem to stop discharging even in self-power...

Just received Tesla Solar Panel proposal ( NJ )

Don't get too stuck on the SRECs if they won't let you decline their offer. They may be priced at around $200 now, but they are designed (in most states) to lose value every year as states get closer to their renewable energy goal and as more solar is installed. You can usually find out about...

Should I wait for 2021-2022 Model Y upgrade?

I wouldn't want to be first in line for a structural battery pack. If something goes wrong with the current battery pack they can drop the pack and replace it. How does that happen in a structural pack that's part of the structure of the car? I'm sure they have some plan for fixing bad...

Connected Solutions Real-World Experiences (MA - National Grid / EverSource)

I'm in RI on National Gird, I have been in the program for two years now and most of the events have been on sunny hot days. I would say my powerwalls have been completely or just about completely full each time an even was called. I have three powerwalls and the events are either 2 hours and I...

Tesla or another Integrated Solar Roof experience?

We looked at doing a solar roof on our new build. The lead time, and uncertainty of when exactly they could install the roof made it almost impossible. We ended up traditional roof then installed solar on top of it. I'm glad we did it, there were so many delays with the install of the normal...

    Phantom SMS Messages

I have to agree this is an Android problem, I have had it happen in my Teslas but it also happened in my old cars which were not Teslas Unless you are using Android Auto, old messages get sent to the car as a new message all the time. So if it's happening in other cars it's an Android...

    Home Charger Tesla or Other?

Model Y and 3 don't have a button by the charge port, so you have to hold down the release on the charging plug and pull the plug and adaptor out at the same time with the other hand while still holding down the release, or the car slams the charge port door on the adaptor that still in the...

    Prospective Buyer of Model S

I have hit or miss service. In my three years of ownership, I had three amazing service center visits, frunk latch replacement/charing dead endpins, replacement tires/air filter/windshield wipers, and replacement passenger control arm/broken windshield. All of three times I was offered a...

    Home Charger Tesla or Other?

I had a ChargePoint home at my old house. Great charger, had it installed for my leaf and used it with my 3. Would totally recommend this charger to anyone unless they own a Tesla. When I built the new house I have a wall connector installed. It is so much easier using the wall connector...

Model S comfort compared to Model Y

I have a 2019 Model 3, during the pandemic we turned in our other car which was a lease, and now that we are both back to work we bought a new 2021 Model Y. I loved the 3 but I'm tall (6'4") and not a small guy. The Y is so much more comfortable than the 3, both the seating position and...

Storm Watch failed us again [in MA, Late July 2021]

Same thing happened to me just exported all my energy to the grid due to a connected solutions event and now there are crazy thunderstorms and I have 20% left.

I'm done with speed-based lane changes, and automatically exiting the passing lane.

I agree, I can't stand it, it either keeps going slow and makes no changes, or changes constantly and drives me nuts. The thing it does that drives me the most batty is when it changes into the left lane to get around a slow car almost immediately before it needs to exit and it's now three...

Anyone use this Romex 6/3 cable during install?

Wow this all gave me a headache, which only got worse when I decided to go check and see how the electrition installed my wall connector. It's on a 60amp breaker with 6/3 Romex, which is apparently not to code. Guess I'll be changing the breaker size to a 50amp, kind of defeated the reason for...

Adding another camera to the front bumper

If I had to guess it's about keeping the cameras clean. Think how quick cameras at the bumper level facing forward or side would get dirty. I know there are ways to self-clean them but that costs money and adds complexity. If you put the forward-facing cameras up high, they are more likely to...

Fill Powerwalls first, Tesla EV second, extra to grid third?

I have heard there is an efficiency difference between L1 and L2 charging but no idea if lowering your amps while charging a 240V changes the efficiency.

Automatic unlock charge port when PhoneKey is near?

The charge port door seems pretty tough, but I'd rather not test my assumptions out. That's why I always remove the cable and adapter at the same time.

Fill Powerwalls first, Tesla EV second, extra to grid third?

I have wanted this for about two years. If you look at the release notes of the latest version of the car software 2021.12.25 it states it can now do this but only while off-grid. "Your vehicle coordinates with Powerwall for enhanced charging during a power outage, without exceeding the...

Automatic unlock charge port when PhoneKey is near?

Sadly no, what works for me is to unlock the car from my phone or open a door and let the phone key unlock the car, then hold the button down on the charging cable to stop charging, then grab the cable and the adapter with the other hand and remove the adapter and cable at the same time, leaving...

Considering a Y or 3 as first T. Worried about Phantom Braking in Los Angeles

I have a model 3 with radar and a model Y without radar. The Y phantom breaks a lot less on me and it is way less intense. When it does it, it seems like the car is letting up on the gas not so much slamming on the breaks. The 3 does it less than it did previously and it is also less intense...

    Camera range and simulation

If you put your directional on the lane markers on the display would have turned red to tell you there was a car coming that was out of view. I agree, not the best blind-spot warning system out there but better than nothing.

    Expanding My 6.0kW System - 4.08kW + 2x PW

I have national grid in RI. I have 10kw of solar and three powerwalls. On my net metering application they list my system as 25kw. I had no problem. Now my house is new construction and they did install a new pole and transformer when they built my house so it might be that you are on older...

    Massive PTO Delay

The first-year production is a tad better than what they quote. The powerwalls work great during outages and I made about $4K last year for being part of the Connected Solutions battery program. I'm very happy, I just keep my fingers crossed that nothing ever goes wrong because I'm almost...

    Massive PTO Delay

I filled out the form on this page, RIPUC - File A Complaint took a screenshot and tweeted National Grid the screenshot. Before you do that, make sure Tesla sent all the correct paperwork to National Grid, the first four months or so of issues were Teslas fault.

Must be an Android OS thing then. This has definitely happened to me in both my Tesla and my Ford (when not using Android Auto)

FSD Beta 9 Speedometer on MS

I was only referring to internet which the OP was asking about. Trust me, I understand how non-robust the system is, hoping V9 is better than the current production version of autopilot.

FSD Beta 9 Speedometer on MS

All the processing is done locally on the car. Nothing to worry about if there is no signal, once the car gets a signal again it will transmit whatever data it needs too.

    Massive PTO Delay

I'm in Rhode Island, it took 7 months to get PTO, this was after months of delays on install too. Tesla submitted the wrong application twice, then just stop trying to submit the paperwork to the electric company. I kept calling my advisor and leaving her messages. Finally, I get someone else...

    Epic Technology/Delivery Fail

I'm going on my third Tesla, have PowerWalls and solar from Tesla, their products are great but the customer service is hot and cold. Sometimes it's amazing other times it's some of the worst customer service I have ever had.

It's not just a Tesla thing either, it has happened in my other car, definitely an Android Messages bug.

    Cost of battery replacement?

This concerns me, shouldn't the car detect high battery temps and something wrong with the coolant loop and tell you to pull over to prevent damage to the cells? Hitting something on the road and damaging the battery is my biggest fear, have had it since my leaf days, through my model 3 days and...

RI REF Grant? [Rhode Island Renewable Energy Fund]

The grant is really hard to get. I have installed two systems (one tesla, one not) applied both times and was denied. Apparently, your system needs to be able to guarantee a specific amount of energy for its size so it needs the perfect angle and orientation, which neither of my systems had...
