I agree. The fact Tesla MYLR backlog is now like 8 months at their current prices should be indication enough that the tax credit is not needed. Tax credits are to help incentivise and clearly, EVs don't need incentives for people to adopt. And we know what Tesla is going to do IF the tax bill...

Mine was also pushed back on Monday to 11/15 - 12/13. It was 10/31 - 11/20 prior to that. Looks like my MYP is going to go through the same multi-month wait then an EOQ push like my MYLR. I, too, am counting on it being a 2022 coming in that late in the year.

Cars delivered to California do not come with the mud flaps or rear ppf. Only cars delivered in snowy areas do.

Happened to me. I got a 4-hour delivery window show up in my account without a text, email, or phone call. Granted... the day before the actual delivery window, someone at my SC did call me... but the delivery window was in my account soon after my VIN showed up.

It's about friggin' time!!! Congrats, man!!! I know that surreal feeling you must've felt when you first saw the year show up next to the car on your tesla account dashboard after waiting for what felt like eternity!

VIN assignment is based on completed order profile (i.e. submitted proof of insurance, payment method you plan to use (best to specify cash and change it after you get a VIN), and whether or not you have a trade-in).

I just went through this yesterday. My MY was delivered to my house. I performed all the "paperwork" from my Tesla account on their website. This included reviewing and agreeing to several documents, uploading photos of my drivers license front and back (Again), and taking a selfie of myself...

Mine is a 269xxx and on the monroney sticker, under manufactured date, it says September 2021. So it's definitely recent.

That's strange. There does seem to be inconsistent processes (not to mention the VIN assignment algorithm) at Tesla. I never got a text message of my delivery date but in my Tesla account, I now have a 9/17 pickup date with a 4-hour time window... But never got a text message or email about...
