    I set the PIN to drive to avoid any issues. The phone connectivity is actually pretty hit and miss in my experience. Even with the app running in the background about 75% of the time when I walk up to the car it stays asleep and I need to unlock the car on the app or using my key fob to get in.

    Not sure if it’s an update or an Easter Egg that’s always there - found it the other day in the Toybox. It’s called Santa Mode. Your car becomes Santa’s sleigh on screen, other cars are reindeers and people are elves. Kept the rugrat amused so that’s a win!

    Two words - foam cannon Hook one up to a pressure cleaner and blow foam all over the car. Let it sit for 5 minutes then gently rinse off. Leaf blower the water away (I do that in the garage). Clean car without water spots in about 10-15 minutes

    That’s what I’ve been doing since I brought mine home - works a treat. Takes all but a few drips off in minutes and then just blot off whatever remains with a microfiber cloth or chamois.

    Had a couple of days in mid 30s up here so far. Holds up fine as long as you pre cool through the app and/or park under cover. You can feel the heat a bit through the roof, but of you put the seat low it isn’t too bad.

    With mine the alert is working, but not always broadcasting the message via bluetooth. But I know there’s an alert because it interrupts Spotify or the radio and there’s a 4 or 5 second gap in the audio. Not perfect, but it still lets me know something is up.

    You can set Waze to “call” the car via bluetooth and broadcast the alerts. Not as helpful as having it on the main screen, but better than nothing.

    It’s not there yet for me, but it’s quite impressive how quickly BYD have managed to make a car that’s actually quite appealing if it’s the sum of its parts. If they keep improving at this rate and keep their design team they’re going to do very well.

    You can only use it while in park, but you can do it remotely via the app if so inclined. You can also monitor the cameras remotely via the app. So if you’re bored enough (and childish enough - I am) you can wait for someone to walk close to the car and then fart at them.

    I’ve seen so many people raise issue with the voice recognition. I suspect it’s an accent thing. I’m Canadian and it’s been 100% for me. Everyone else in the family has an Australian accent and confuses the car!
