Just an update: I bought the device linked above and it fit snugly over the carseat's belt buckle to prevent the middle passenger from accidentally unbuckling the carseat. In case any parents are looking for similar device.

Yes I really like the plug kit since the MY has mud flaps and the traditional way of patching (puncture tool, insert the patch, cement, trim) would be quite difficult with the mud flaps in the way due to limited clearance.

We were on the road trip so the spare tire was laying flat & buried underneath stroller, luggages....but good point though.

So I got my tires up to 44 psi and put my modern spare tire flat on the trunk for a road trip... surprisingly the cabin is so much quieter with this setup. No booming or significant road noise. I wonder if all that extra weight from the spare tire suppresses the noise generated by the trunk...

good idea. We will want to use the heater to keep everyone comfy. For winter driving, change to Chill mode and regen to Creep?

I just took off the right panel. Same as left but I had to remove the amplifier to get to the 3 subwoofer screws. You will need to pop out the panel near the C pillar too. Use 10mm nut wrench. Hope this helps.

Just got a roof rack for the Model Y. Tesla's website says the loading (static) weight is 165lbs. Now is this 165lbs loading limit with or without the roof rack (which weigh 16lbs already)...ie is my true loading limit 150lbs or so? Anybody know?

What do you like about your box versus the Thule Motion XT or Yakima GrandTour?

Do you have the Thule Motion XT L or XL version? There's a length difference of ~8" between the two but not sure how that translate to size once mounted on the roof. Also did you get to test out the Yakima GrandTour? I read that the Thule mounting system is easier to use?

I actually ended up buying a different looking set of covers (looks more like the induction wheels than the uberturbine) but it doesn't come with the foam strips. Is this necessary or can I make my own foam strip for the cover from somewhere else? On a side note, the irony of having 21"...
