Help me choose: M3P inventory vs. Highland?

I agree with you on the "color choice" question, but it is not the same as the OP's question. The former is purely a subjective choice, while the latter is part of the OP's researching differences between two products at roughly the same price. I can relate to my similar question since I...

Which of the following Tesla models would you purchase today (Jan-10-2024) ?

She prefers the 3. Good advice on 3P with 18". Thanks. Considering that the 3 is usually $3-4K cheaper than the corresponding Y, even with the Highland updates, I simply cannot recommend her (or anyone) to buy a 3LR for almost $10K more than a YLR. (The irony is that I have personally bought...

Which of the following Tesla models would you purchase today (Jan-10-2024) ?

Please note that I am talking specifically about buying the car. Leasing (really a long term rental when it comes to Tesla) should include a $7500 tax incentive on every Model 3 and Y but my friend is not interested in a Tesla lease/rental.

Which of the following Tesla models would you purchase today (Jan-10-2024) ?

$7500 does not apply to any Model 3RWD and Model 3LR, whether it's a 2023 model (can be found in the inventory) or a 2024 Highland ( custom order) $7500 does apply to the 2023 Model 3P (can be found in the inventory) $7500 may apply to the 2024 Highland Model 3P, except that it doesn't yet exist

Which of the following Tesla models would you purchase today (Jan-10-2024) ?

You are correct. And, you make an excellent point about tires. The M3P coming with summer tires had escaped my mind. Thank you.

Which of the following Tesla models would you purchase today (Jan-10-2024) ?

A friend of mine asked my advice on purchasing her first Tesla. Her primary requirement is AWD. She qualifies for the Federal tax incentive. I had previously advised her to wait for the Highland Model 3 orders to open, and now that they are I cannot find any reason to recommend her to purchase...

Discussion: Model 3 Price reductions - Jan / April / Oct 2023 and all other pricing discussions

As of now, the M3P is effectively approximately* $2500 cheaper than the M3LR for those who qualify for the tax credit (income limits). Since Tesla is unlikely to increase the price of M3P beyond $55K, I am guessing a price decrease on the M3LR and M3RWD is coming… Impending Highland should...

    Deliveries of $80k X?

You can request a 2 weeks hold after you receive your VIN. You do not need to provide a reason. The hold lets Tesla assign that car/VIN to someone else. After 2 weeks, you will be assigned a new VIN. Note that Tesla (any car company) can legally build a 2023 VIN in 2024, so it is not an...

Cybertruck Foundation Series Reservation Holder Reveals Cost Of $120,000: Only 1,000 Will Ever Be Made

Discussion: Model 3 and Y price drop Jan 2023 / April 2023 / Oct 2023 and All other Pricing Speculation going forward

That is NOT what the statement says. It says that the RWD and LR would not receive $7500 next year. They could receive $3750 or, really any amount not equal to $7500 for the Tesla statement to be true.

I believe you can self refer. By "auto" I meant that when I requested the "chat lady Jessica" to send me the email since I had Day-0 CT reservation, she said there was no need since the discount would be applied automatically as long as the order was placed from the same account. In fact, I...

How many of you will/may transition to CyberTruck?

Good advice. If I may add, one could easily subscribe at $200/month for a lot longer than 5 years because you are not required to subscribe continuously. You could get it for only the months you think you might need it, thereby stretching the same $12,000 over a period longer than 60 months...

Anyone with a lower RN# than me?

The Tesla rep told me that it would show up on your MVPA, which is unfortunately *after* you've already paid the nonrefundable $250 order fee. I would recommend speaking with a representative before placing the order, just to be certain. I used the chat on the order page, and she was willing...

I too am in the same boat, except my RN is 112748xxx (which seems irrelevant anyway). I too have had multiple Tesla models over the last 9 year. I also did not receive the $1K off other model. I contacted Tesla and found out that your didn't need the email -- as long as you order your "other...

Will Model X Qualify for Tax Credit in 2024? Or disqualified because of battery requirements?

Discussion: Model 3 Price reductions - Jan / April / Oct 2023 and all other pricing discussions

As to your rhyme and reason query, this is not too atypical of the end-of-quarter push to sell as many cars (primarily 3 and Y) as possible. The 3 also has to contend with the upcoming Highland refresh probably in Q1 2024.

    Deliveries of $80k X?

I understand that several of you need your X this year for FUSC transfer reasons. Do we know for sure that the sub-$80K Model X would *not* qualify for the point-of-sale $7500 tax incentive in 2024? Because if it did, then wouldn't it be better for those who are not transferring FUSC to...

Will Model X Qualify for Tax Credit in 2024? Or disqualified because of battery requirements?

I noticed that Tesla updated the Model 3 order page indicating that the tax incentive on Model 3 RWD and LR would be reduced to $3750 in 2024. I may have missed it. Was there an update on the eligibility of the $79,990 Model X for the point-of-sale tax incentive in 2024? Thanks.

FYI - All inventory Model 3s are discounted 3-4% as of 11.14.2023. Whether that's sufficient for you to purchase is up to you to decide; personally, I am waiting for 8-10% discount over the next 6 weeks (same as it was toward the end of Q3).

Model 3 Highland Performance/Plaid Speculation [Car announced 04.23.2024]
