    Hertz rental PIREP (pilot report!)

No. Define reasonable enough? They bill you the supercharging cost plus a 3.3% administrative fee. Not for a rented Tesla without a CCS adaptor. Largely yes. Supercharge. Again like I said in the other thread you posted in; on the off chance you come back you really need to plug this trip...

Long Road Trip - Is it possible to customize charge duration during stops?

I realize this poster hasn't logged in since shortly after they made their two posts on Tuesday, but in case they are lurking or do come back... The first thing I'd recommend is looking at what this trip looks like in a better route planner to see if it is acceptable to your or not. I think you...

    Entire Supercharging Team Fired?

It would've been nice to have a department to take advantage of that, no?
  4. M

    Entire Supercharging Team Fired?

Even if one were to stipulate that is what is going on here (I am not), firing "everyone" makes absolutely no sense in that scenario.

    Entire Supercharging Team Fired?

Not necessarily even for permitted sites. Permits are relatively cheap in the grand scheme of things. Sprint prior to getting bought out by T-Mobile for example had a habit of continually walking away from cellphone tower upgrade permits when they didn't have the cash to do so only to file new...

Supercharger - Des Moines, IA (NW 2nd St)

Have you supercharged since this trip? Were you navigating to the superchargers to pre-condition the battery? The fact that you were only pulling 50 kW both here and in Lincoln would be more indicative of some sort of issue with your car rather than the super chargers.
  7. M

Supercharger - Lincoln, NE - West O Street

I charged there last month and got the 200+ kW speeds I expected given my SOC and pre-conditioning.
  8. M

    Supercharger - Norfolk, NE

I mean if it is in the app and on the find us page it is live. Someone in the facebook group will likely be there shortly given 2 people had posted photos of construction there.
  9. M

    Supercharger - Cleveland, OH - 4277 W 150th St

The city has done their part already by issuing the permit. With out knowing the internal schedule we really can't say if anything is "delayed" or not. But at this point it appears the site is waiting on the utility provider (Cleveland Public Power?) to install the transformer. With the current...

    Supercharger - Cleveland, OH - 4277 W 150th St

It is hard to tell from your photos, but it looks like construction from Tesla's side is substantially if not completed. However, I don't see a transformer in any of your photos, and it looks like on that last photo there is a concrete pad there for one, but obviously not one there. That is...

    Discrepancy in charge prices

The energy delivered is unexectedly low, because that wasn't the energy delivered... It is a bug as @threeputts noted. Notice how all three of the screenshots posted so far are X KWh hour delivered and then the charging time is always one minute more... It is basically reporting the charging...

    Supercharger - Cleveland, OH - 4277 W 150th St

Tesla doesn't show exact locations of superchargers until they open. If if it appears on the map at all, it will be a generic pin over the name of the city with a target opening date i.e. right now, this is presumably this supercharger on Tesla's map.

Failed (2nd) battery 700 miles out of warranty.

And literally the first comment with 10 upvotes is basically what people have asked you repeatedly here. Check your car against highway mileage posts or use an accurate GPS device.

    Supercharger - Norfolk, NE

I'm back to thinking my original inclination was correct. Same Facebook group different poster. Between the two photos and the position of the cabinets in the background that appears to also confirm 8 stalls.
  15. M

    Supercharger - Norfolk, NE

Yeah I wish the person in the facebook group took more photos. They live in Norfolk so I suggested they go back, but I think this looks correct. I was a little thrown off by the trees too.
  16. M

    Supercharger - Norfolk, NE

Tesla updated their find us map at some point within the past couple of days with a planned supercharger in Norfolk Nebraska. I was unable to find any building permits associated with one yesterday. However, much to my surprise someone posted photos on an Omaha Tesla owners Facebook group today...

Model Y - LA to SF

First of all the advice given so far in this thread has been good. Theoretically yes 1 stop should be possible. Under "normal" conditions and traveling at around the speed limit you should be able to make it fully charged (100%) from El Segundo to Harris Ranch. ABRP agrees that it would be an...

Chicago area superchargers failing in cold

Yeah it is difficult to do a complete post-mortem on the Chicago incident in the absense of Tesla revealing more information. However, these updates are pretty telling that it seems like this was a significant factor (maybe the most significant). I can also see how it could cascade too. You are...

Chicago area superchargers failing in cold

It looks like some of the more recent software updates are including some additional features specifically related to this incident. - The screen is going to display a message with a timer telling the driver their battery isn't warm enough to charge and charging will begin in X time -The car is...

    Navigation routes

Partially because it allows you to do most of the things you mention in this post once you learn it's interface. I get people's difficult to use comments at times, but from a computer especially it literally takes me minutes to customize a trip to my needs. Regarding this quote, it has an...

    Navigation routes

You already seemingly decided which route is better for you. Like @804son said the only relevant questions are 1) whether the other route is possible? and 2) is it as easy as an ICE car given you've mentioned it involves different charging stops? If ABRP thinks it is, take it and don't worry...

Bass Pro Supercharger in Independence, MO (Kansas City) Has New Stalls

Both of these superchargers have dedicated threads about them in the subforum located directly above this forum "Midwest/Great Lakes Supercharger locations" https://teslamotorsclub.com/tmc/threads/supercharger-columbia-mo-clark-lane.317770/...

    Havasupai Trailhead?

It looks possible, but.... You'd basically need to stay here for a night. It looks like from plugshare that the Grand Canyon Caverns Inn has an RV park with NEMA 14-50 receptacles. This obviously would require the mobile connector and the appropriate adapter. The RV park appears to be about a...

Questions about renting a Tesla for a Road Trip

I would still plan on taking your own with you especially given that you intend on charging at your hotel. As @bmah 's experience noted and my anecdotal experience renting Tesla's from a couple of different companies now and different locations what is actually in the trunk has varied even...

    Charging question

You aren't providing enough information to draw any meaningful conclusion here. What was the state of charge of the car when you initiated charging? What is the state of charge when you normally start charging? Did you try another stall? etc.

Chicago area superchargers failing in cold

Again, just passing what is going along here. -5 below is actually a warm up from the past several nights The high here yesterday was -8. Heading East from Omaha to Des Moines 4 of 8 are down in Shelby Iowa, 3 of 8 down in the West Des Moines supercharger, etc. My only point is whatever is...

Chicago area superchargers failing in cold

It is -5 below in Omaha, I'm showing 3 of 12 stalls available for charging with 6 stalls down at the Omaha supercharger (and knowing Omaha I'm skeptical 3 cars are charging right now at 10:20 p.m. there too), 5 of 8 stalls down at Council Bluffs, 2 of 8 down at each Lincoln Nebraska...

    Supercharger - Ames, IA

Coming from another direction I suspect I'll be utilizing this one as well headed your direction. From Omaha, Dows is a stretch in anything but optimal weather conditions. It will be nice to be able to get beyond Des Moines in sub-optimal conditions for me. And headed back it would be the same...

Discussion: Experiences Renting a Tesla Model 3 / Y from various companies

Just to update this. I did get a 2022 build M3 LR with roughly 18,000 miles on it. It was listed as a 2/2022 build on the door frame, but I'm assuming it was less than a year old on delivery as the car had premium connectivity. The car had a mobile connector in the trunk. Not having app access...

    Supercharger - Owatonna, MN

Obviously this was 11 days later, but I stopped here on Sunday, coming up I-35 from the Dows Iowa supercharger and my 3 did precondition on the way. The slightly angled spots are somehow slightly easier to back into. This is a nice supercharger.

Any recent experiences from Budget/Avis? I think I've probably got a model 3 through budget next month out of SFO.

The permit has been issued for a while ( Early February Supercharger - Omaha, NE (8801 West Center Rd.). It was the inspection for whatever reason that is the hold up.
  39. M

Supercharger - Omaha, NE (8801 West Center Rd.)

The electrician on the permit also requested a final inspection (again) from the city this afternoon. So with the Tesla guys there today and the permitting process we may be getting very close here.

Tesla Model 3 (AWD) - Tire

Even an AWD 3 is typically primarily a real wheel drive vehicle. the front motor kicks in as needed for acceleration and or when slippage is detected. This has been verified by people running various scanning apps that log the motor behavior under differing conditions.

Supercharger - Omaha, NE (8801 West Center Rd.)

None of which really has anything to do with why this supercharger isn't online yet... This site has a willing host. The city permitted the site in a timely manner and it was constructed in a timely manner. There are also 8 other superchargers in the state already. Something apparently wasn't...

Is there a way to find out how many chargers are NOT in use without using the Tesla app?

Is there a way to find out how many chargers are NOT in use without using the Tesla app?

Other than paying to subscribe to ABRP you aren't. Tesla doesn't make that information publicly available outside of the car and app. And yes the app will wake up the car to get its location, but I'm not really following the logic on why you wouldn't mind doing that? Presumably if you are...

    Ohiya Casino Niobrara Nebraska

For sure no worries in asking. Like I said though you are looking at a relatively obscure spot. If like you said, you are anywhere near Omaha, it is going to be quick charges at the Sioux City SC either or both ways. And from my location at ~132nd and Center in Omaha ICE or EV aside, the I-29...

    Ohiya Casino Niobrara Nebraska

I think your odds of finding anyone on here that has been there are pretty slim given the location. I highly doubt they have an EV charger as well otherwise it would be on plugshare. I'd also be operating on the assumption that there isn't an outlet to charge off of. If there is great, but again...

Supercharger - Omaha, NE (8801 West Center Rd.)

We'll see. While this site hasn't been the problem site Lincoln was, the meter has been there for two months as of this tweet And the Omaha Public Power District was approved by the city to do the pre-connect on 5/16. OPPD doesn't typically mess around as seen by the transformer and meter at...
