I purchased and installed a Curt hitch and have a Yakima bike rack. The hitch install took about 4 hours but saved me about $300. There is an installation video on YouTube from Uhaul that gives a detailed step by step procedure.

I've seen that, but wonder about the many M3 that have hitches on them, towing bikes or small trailers. Is it just assumed that all of those have had their warranty voided - or that it is possible to void the warranty. I just want to carry my bikes.

Is it possible to put a tow hitch on an M3 in the United States? I know I’ve seen people posting about it. Will this really void the cars warranty?

I bought this 2022 Kia EV6 in June of last year. I really liked it - very nice car. But during the very short 6 months I owned it, I always regretted not purchasing a Tesla. I corrected that mistake at the end of December traded this for a Model 3. I have not regretted that decision!

Do you have to wait for the new software update to be pushed to the M3 or can I manually download it? I’ve checked the software tab but it says everything is up to date but that’s not thr current update.

How much can I expect to spend to have everything tinted?

Well, I don’t have an answer - that’s why I’m seeking advice. I had just read a number of threads that the tint can melt when using the back window defroster.

Is there anyone that has tinted all the windows except the back window in the M3? I’ve read about some of the issues that can come with this. If you’ve done this, how do you like it?

I did get it taken care of. I took it to the service center in Knoxville - a great group of folks. They found that the octovalve was leaking. They told me that they had never seen this on a M3. Took care of it in about 4 hours and I was back on the road.

I just went through the same process and decided I wanted a 2021 model 3 due to the changes made from the 2020 to 2021. You’ll have to decide if those changes are important. The update I wanted most was the heat pump. I believe tesla put heat pumps on some 2020s and made it standard in 2021...

I unplugged everything that was on the garage circuit and charged my M3. It stll read 12/12 but the volts went from 110 to 114. Again, not an electrician, so is that better?

What is track mode?

Ok, just checked and the breaker controls all 3 outlets in the garage and the electricity in my utility room. Curious - is it unsafe to plug the Tesla charger into an extension cord? A heavy duty one, not a cheap Walmart cord.

Good point. I don’t mind digging into plumbing issues, repairing things around the house, but electrical issues have always given me pause. But I shouldn’t be able to burn down the house by flipping a few switches.

I am happy to report that shortly after midnight, I checked my Tesla app and the car has now been put into my name. I immediately scheduled a service for the end of this week.

It is the coolant reservoir I am looking at. It states so on the cap. I definitely do not want to do anything to void my warranty. I was told the Vehicle support will be working Monday, so I will call then.

I have not received a warning light. I just saw the coolant on the garage floor. Checking the reservoir showed it empty.. Just curious, how would Tesla know if I added coolant?

I did check the reservoir and it is dry. I’m new to Tesla, so not sure what an SA is? As for voiding the warranty - I’ve read several posts where people did add coolant. Is this a strict no?
