I also don't see much of a difference in efficiency between Insane and Ludicrous. In my experience, however, the Sport setting is still better if you drive through hilly terrain compared with I or L, even with Range mode on.

Further clarification: DillyBop obviously took the + sign from a P85+ and attached it to his P85D, as a joke. There is no official P85D+! However, if I had a spare +, I would be able to stick it on my P85D, after the upgrade. ;-)

Good luck being the trail blazer in your region. The rational part of me says, maybe it's not such a bad thing to be #9 in my locale (Cincinnati). I was also really surprised about the number of cars being upgraded in my neck of the woods. I didn't expect we had that many eligible P85Ds here...

Yes, that works. But the car gets very close to the garage door, so I can see your concern. What I don't understand is why the same can't be programmed for the driver backing up towards the garage door and it opening automatically. - - - Updated - - - I agree. It gets messed up very quickly...

The problem I have is that getting into the car with the garage door closed and then hitting the open button on the screen will skip the auto-close function. Even when opening the garage door with the wall switch, auto-close only functions 60-70% of the time. Auto-open seems to be more reliable...

I usually keep my hands off the steering wheel and definitely feel there is more nag now with 7.1. However, at least my casual observation has been that it does not come on every 3-5 minutes. Where I noticed it more is in curves and unfortunately there's a lot of those around here.

That disables ("skips") the auto close feature. Open your garage door with your wall switch and auto close should work! However, you may have to go through one open-and-close cycle to reset the function.

I also open the garage door with Homelink from within the car and in 7.1 it will now cancel the auto close function if you do that. It says (skip) on the Homelink button. Does your's not say that?

That's my problem with the feature: When you leave, you cannot open the garage door with the Homelink button without seemingly canceling the auto close function at the same time. A nice addition to the Homelink feature would be if the garage door automatically opens when you put the car in...

I agree that in the current iteration that seems to be the case. However, technically, I don't see a difference between the car opening the garage door from the inside when it approaches the door via Summon vs. me putting the car in reverse and approaching the door. Hopefully, they'll add that...
