Super weird, my 2015 was doing this also for a week or two, then now nothing for past 2 weeks? 🤷🏾‍♂️

So far no issues, screens are very responsive. I’m happy with the upgrade, can’t believe I had to take the car back 3 times to get fixed. Total time was 3 weeks and over $3000 in Uber credits that Tesla covered.

Anyways, service “verified complaint” ended up replacing entire “MCU intel”

Can unlock car with key fob, mobile unresponsive. But screens are blacks, car will not go into drive. After 1-3 minutes, headlights, horn, brake lights, windows/mirrors work and I can drive car - but nothing else works including turn signals or hazard lights. Then after another several minutes...

Just an update if anyone else had similar problems with a MCU1 to MCU2 upgrade. I scheduled service but was cancelled because they said it’s a firmware issue and could be solved OTA a month ago. But it actually got worse, now it’s almost every time I leave the car for more than 30-60 minutes...

Unfortunately did that many times, still is blacked out every single time I get back into car when not on a charger unfortunately. Like it goes into a deep sleep even though that option isn’t available anymore.

I ended up having tesla fix it, don’t rmr exactly but I think it was few hundred dollars, much less than the possible thousands of dollars they said it could possibly be.

agreed, I’m on that list. I don’t want another 4 door sedan that looks like all the other model S’s from the past 10 years.

Wife and I test drove the Taycan extensively. It’s is very impressive. But the price difference just isn’t worth it IMHO.

Nope, 2015, 91k miles nothing hit it. Just made a weird noise and wouldn’t close, got out to see this potentially expensive failure.

Back hinge on both sides snapped in half. Won’t close now. Anyone had this problem, nothing pulled up in search.

yes, sorry! I meant the FSD won’t work in my AP1/HW1 despite upgrading to MCU2, correct? Same autopilot. I’m guessing how much could it really improve with the same old AP1 camera hardware.

9/24 order for Long Island, AWD Model

2015 70D, 62k miles, steering became difficult every 90 degrees. Fixed by Syosset SC in 2 days.

My 2015 70D suddenly had this happen 2 days ago... every 90 degrees it becomes difficult to turn. Dropped off to the Long Island service center since out of warranty (62k miles) and did not qualify for free tow.

Slacker has been, well slacking, for at least a week or two now! On top of that, ESPN SportsCenter all of the sudden keeps cutting in every few songs, regardless of what “station” I have it on!!

So I have already done the math backwards I think. Year without Tesla, 10-11k-kWh and year with tesla 18-19k-kWh. I multiplied out the difference using the standard rate and it came out to be hundreds of dollars more compared to what I actually paid for the year on TOU with a Tesla. But...
