tesla-apiscraper: Yet another selfhosted Teslog/Teslafi alternative

I really want to try this but am a little stuck with the import of the JSON files. I have Grafana set up and running. I've set up InfluxDB as the source. github says "Import the Dashboard JSON Files included in this repository". Excuse my dimness, but which repository are we talking about and...

Model S - HPWC (High Power Wall Connector)

Does anyone have the EU model of the HPWC and has photos of the control board EVWTSHT-1 ? I've procured a "broken" charger where the control connector CNA5 had been ripped off. I can replace the connector, but some of the circuit board tracks have been damaged and can't quite work out where they...

TeslaLog.com - Your hosted Tesla Data Logger - Announcement / Support threads

Thanks :) Just dropped you an email. Apologies if I came across a bit harsh, it was more my frustration for which I feel a bit bad missing the email link in the billing email. Thanks for clarifying, I wasn't sure whether this was the case and thought it was the other way around.

TeslaLog.com - Your hosted Tesla Data Logger - Announcement / Support threads

Mouchinanrd, as much as I enjoy Teslalog and have become a paying subscriber, how the hell is a paying subscriber supposed to get in touch? There are no telephone numbers (OK, I can accept that). There are no email addresses ?!? The T&Cs at the bottom say "If you have any questions about these...

    Parking in Amsterdam

OK, I'm pretty decided on P+R. The P+R ArenA website suggests charging possible with the e icon at the bottom but I can't find any info on this. Does anyone know? It doesn't appear to be in their FAQ either.

    Parking in Amsterdam

Thanks @PaulusdB I have to say I really loved the Tilburg tour. It was fantastic. Always an option :) You lot are doing a good job to convince me to road trip! €15/day is pretty reasonable with a few of those Park Bee options. I'd need to confirm it works though with my UK address / UK mobile.

    Parking in Amsterdam

Charging would be nice but probably not essential. I gather the Amsterdam supercharger gets very busy with taxis, but I think I should be able to avoid that if required with the 90kWh battery

    Parking in Amsterdam

Now why did I think you'd support the Tesla road trip option more? :D I'll be staying in Roetersstraat, but with public transport, I don't mind leaving the car elsewhere as long as it's secure and relatively easy to get to / from. I've been to IBC loads of times and know the RAI very well :)...

    Parking in Amsterdam

Hello, Sorry for speaking English, my dutch is not very good... I'm coming to Amsterdam on Friday 15th September till Monday 18th for IBC trade show. I could fly but am considering making a road trip of it. I have a place I'm staying at but they cannot offer parking. I won't need to drive...

Immediate and fatal 12V battery failure

OK, after much chasing, Tesla have got back to me and clarified the diagnosis. It isn't the 12V battery, the lack of access to the main battery pack is in fact related to an isolation forced by a safety check. The short version is it's apparently the air conditioning unit that has developed a...

Immediate and fatal 12V battery failure

Apparently no. I did suggest whilst on the phone to the support team whether I could jumper just to get the car started - even if just to drive the 15 miles back to the service centre. Failing that, I suggested getting a ranger out (not sure they've ever offered that service in the UK), but...

Immediate and fatal 12V battery failure

I searched and saw 12V battery failures are known, but from what I can tell, have just been a warning message which was dealt with a few weeks later when the car was booked in to have it checked. 12v Battery Not so for me :( I was going to a friend's house to demo the car. The outside temp...

Update to the Supercharger network policies

I really have mixed thoughts about this change. I live in the UK and so my first comment would be that a blanket change isn't really adapted to a massively varying worldwide market. I for one am actually disappointed with this change. Ever since I've been following Tesla, the "free supercharger...

Run a model S without a home charger?

I live in Reading, and don't have the ability to charge. Dashcam

I did see a DIY tutorial somewhere for fitting the rear one. It was a little fiddly, but tidy - cables passed through existing conduits. I can't remember for sure, but maybe one hole needed to be drilled but it was hidden by trim or something.

    Insurance for 21 year Old

If you go down that route, check what the terms are for travelling abroad. If you're based mainly in the UK, then that will count as abroad and you're normally limited to something like 90 days / year, at least that's with UK insurers. Maybe it's different in Germany?

    Insurance for 21 year Old

Hi Joshua, I saw your post int he P85 insurance thread, but thought I'd add here. I'm in a similar situation regarding the company car / tax thing, but am (un)fortunate enough to be just under 40 so don't have the 21 / 25 yo limitation. However, as it will be a company car, I wonder if that...

    Deciding on air suspension

When I went out for my first test drive, it was a car on springs with 19" wheels. Felt nice and firm, still quiet, but did feel the road surface come through to the cabin a bit more than I expected - "for a luxury sedan". My second studio was on a car with ludi (I had requested to see the...

    2016 Model S Refresh Mega-thread

That's an interesting point: in the UK, all cars have number plates on the front. Of course, we don't have a Model X yet so difficult to know for sure what the "official Tesla plate installation" will look like, but with the more angular front, I hope it doesn't spoil the aesthetics too much...

Yay. Having placed an order end March (it was my birthday after all), it was initially for beating the alleged price increase on 1st April. In the recent Tesla clubhouse meeting announcements (in a couple of weeks), a model X should be available for viewing. Model 3 Supercharging Capable Discussion

I don't have a problem if SC requires an one of or pay per use activation charge for the Model 3. I presume some people won't require SC capability. Argh! I'd much prefer a revised nosecone - the classic fish mouth was the only thing I didn't like about the Model S. Of course, everyone has their preference. I've now ordered (as of early this week). I've paid my GBP 2,000 deposit have the current / old pricing. I have till next Friday...

UK price increase due on 1st April

Well, I'll probably pop into the Heathrow branch tomorrow over lunch and enquire about the increase and also see if they can arrange within the 2-week window another test drive with a P90DL so I can get a feel for whether the rather large increase is worth it in my eyes.
