It’s all software unless the Model 3 didn’t already have the FSD computer installed initially. Otherwise, they can install the FSD computer in a couple hours last I heard.

They definitely have the capability to disable the FSD software, but from multiple Tesla contacts, they are indicating they won’t disable it to lower the used inventory pricing.

I’ve talked to multiple Tesla employees and they don’t have a way to remove FSD from used inventory. They can only remove it from new inventory cars. It’s unfortunate, since it would be a no-brainer for me to buy one without FSD if it was in the $20k’s. I also find it hard to believe that all...

I don’t own a Tesla (yet), but when I login to my Tesla account I have a referral link available to use (possibly due to my Cybertruck reservation?). Is it possible for a friend to use my referral link and that will credit me 1000 miles to use with a future Tesla purchase?

Sorry, way overpriced. $47,990 for the exact same car brand new (only thing missing is the “enhanced” part of Autopilot). You might find a sucker willing to pay that much though. ;)

Sorry about this. I think this is the first instance I've heard where in a Model 3 one motor went out, while the other allowed it to continue to drive.

Most used listings seem overpriced when you take the credits/incentives that you would get on a new car (and that the seller originally received). That being said, it seems that most sellers are willing to negotiate a deal when there is a willing buyer.

Are you able to Supercharge it? I thought Tesla didn’t support supercharging and updates for salvage titles (I could be wrong).

I’m not understanding the used Model 3 market, most seem quite a bit overpriced when considering incentives.

I'm still not clear if adding AP to a Standard at the time of order will cost $2000 or $3000 (it only adds $2000 to the SR+ price, but sales advisors are saying it would be $3000 to add to the Standard). :confused:

That is pretty big news, but really only matters to buyers who plan to keep their cars for 500,000+ miles (since Elon said the current battery should last 500-600k miles).

Seeing the improvements in navigate on Autopilot just in the last few months, gives me a good feeling that we will see some rapid improvements in Tesla’s overall self-driving features throughout this year. Really looking forward to Monday’s event.

Here are my guesses for next week: 1. FSD demo driving around city streets 2. Enhanced Summon at a human-level speed 3. Automated Supercharger hardware 4. Tesla Network app demo (possibly starting out as an Uber/Lyft competitor that uses human drivers)

If you don't mind a used Model 3 with 10k-20k miles, I've been seeing them for mid $40k (with Autopilot/FSD) on Autotrader and Only Used Tesla | A Place Exclusively Dedicated To Buying And Selling Used Teslas.

Elon's complete lack of interest in driver monitoring (on Lex Friedman's podcast) gives me confidence that we'll see a big step towards FSD next week.

AP adds $2000 to the base price. They also dropped some of the paint options by $500. So that could be factoring into the price discrepancy you're seeing.

I wonder if Tesla will start offering other upgrades to the SR/SR+, like adding a subwoofer and enabling the extra speakers, or adding streaming radio and satellite maps for an annual fee.

I'm not sure why Tesla doesn't consider lighting up the entire left/right edge of the screen in red as the blind spot warning (after the blinker has been engaged). Might be worth tweeting at Elon.

Initially, I was hoping for a $35k standard range with FSD would put it around $43k, minus $7500 federal incentive and $2500 state incentive, would’ve put it around $33k-ish. That won’t happen now, but I’ve already seen long range premiums with EAP for $40k on the used market. So those are...

I was expecting mid to low $30k range since I’d want FSD. Still a higher TCO than my 2005 Honda Civic. ;)

Canceled my reservation because I was hoping for the full $7500 tax credit, so now I'm just waiting for used Model 3's to come down into my target price range.

Do we think TSLA will react similarly to the Model 3 reveal for the Model Y reveal?
