The only thing Tesla accepts credit card payments for related to new purchases is the deposit. All subsequent payments must be made via a personal check (which they do an EFT on), or a cashier's check. They do not accept credit cards during the delivery process at all.

Getaround is a great app for car sharing. The last few times I used in in the SF area, there were Tesla's (Model S) listed for rent. The app is fast and easy to setup and has you on the road in no time. I hope this is helpful.
