How to correct an order on the wrong account

Does anyone know how to correct a Model Y order made on the wrong email? I tried calling Tesla but none fo the menu options get through to an actual person and all the email correspondence I get is from [email protected]. I just need to add the Model Y order to the correct account.

Tesla P85D 21'' Rims and Tyres for free (Sold)

Hi All I moved house to a rural suburb (Whittlesea in Victoria) and I needed to replace my 21'' wheels and tyres with 19'' options that were more forgiving on the dirt roads. As a result I have some 4 x 21'' cyclone wheels and tyres available to whoever wants them. Tyres are low on tread and...

    Model 3 All Terrain Tyres

We have a model 3 performance and recently moved to a farm (I know - not ideal). I want to replace the current tyres (Michelin 235/35 ZR2) with all terrain tyres but not having much luck in finding suitable tyres. Has anyone put tyres on their model 3 that is more suited for dirt roads? Thanks!

Why can't I buy a model 3 fob in Australia?

I bought a M3 FOB from the US and had it shipped here via myus.com without any issues. May be worth trying that?

    Rocking Seats

Yes - I had a similar response from Tesla. Had the seat replacement initially denied. In the end had to provide all previous correspondence (going back over a year) on the matter and *eventually* it got fixed under warranty. It is worth persisting.

    Navigate On Autopilot in Australia

Yes - I did end up cancelling a lot of lane changes but I found that if you cancel them then they often come back 10s later. Part of this may also me learning what the car is trying to do. It is not as obvious as 'traditional' autopilot where there there is almost an instantaneous connection...

What was missing from your Model 3? (if anything...)

A USB stick to record video. I say this in jest as within 10 minutes of picking up our M3P it got rear ended by someone who promptly sped off. Fortunately we took down the license plate of the offender and had witnesses. Cops got a hold of him and he admitted fault and apologized. Nonetheless...

    Navigate On Autopilot in Australia

I was excited to try it but disappointed with its performance (M3). For some obscure reason it kept on wanting to overtake even though the designated off ramp was <1km away. I initially had it on mad max setting but dialed it back to average but the behavior still persisted. As we approached...

Wailing wall for Australian Model 3 team VINLess!

I got quoted (performance red with white interior): "At this stage we haven’t built your car as our white interior cars are scheduled for production in early-mid November with deliveries of those vehicles expected in mid-December"

White Interior on the Model 3 in Oz

If you find an aftermarket cf dashboard replacement - let us know. I have similar concerns with the white interior and was thinking of doing a cf wrap on the dashboard.

White Interior on the Model 3 in Oz

Model S is an older P85D. Seats look like they are made of black leather. Black seems to show up creases (from wear) and scuff marks where items I have put on the seats have scratched the surface. The Model X seats seem to be a form of PVC? The white material is perforrated and thinner than...

White Interior on the Model 3 in Oz

As much as it kills me - I asked Tesla to put my Model 3 order on hold until white seats are available. It is a lot of money to spend on a car and I would prefer the options I want (even if it takes longer). We have 3 kids and the white seats in the model X are holding up better than the black...

Switching to "Time of use" tariff (Western Victoria, Powercor)

A change in tariff is a simple process from a DB perspective. The move to TOU tariffs was one of the original intents of the smart meter rollout (the premise being that price signals move peak demand closer to average demand and defer the need for capital expenditure). If you are not aware then...

    Rim Repair Recommendation in Melbourne

I have used Wheel Solutions Australia for both the Model S and X. They are located about 1km away from Tesla in Richmond. Always great results and service though I suspect a little more expensive. also used them to repaint my rims on the S (to a satin black).

    Web Browser?

Yay. If Santa is listening - FOB only summons would be my next wish :) The app summons can be hit and miss (I usually need 3 or 4 attempts before it works) which can be frustrating when you need to use it everyday.

    Repair Costs - Grrr

I suspect you all are right - if I took this to a standard repairer to push out and fill / spray - it would be a fraction of the cost and time. If I a spare moment over Christmas I might pop into a repair shop and see what they can do. The tail light is not damaged neither are any other panels.

    Repair Costs - Grrr

Hi All Apologies - disappeared due to work commitments :(. I have attached another picture that should hopefully give a clearer view of the damage. I did raise the issue with Tesla and their answer was that the rear panel is 'structural' and is complex and time consuming to remove / replace...

    Repair Costs - Grrr

I had the misfortune of needing to visit Ikea on a busy Saturday. Whilst parked someone (presumably a 4WD) dented the rear right panel on my P85D. The damage was an indentation about the size of my hand and wasn't something I was too concerned about (we are insured with Tesla). Well - imagine...

A bad week - Drive Unit Need Service

As a minor update: Model X was taken in for service and (I believe (wife took the car in)) the drive unit replaced - fairly uneventful. No noticeable difference in driving. Interestingly the drive unit error message actually disappeared a couple of weeks prior to the service appointment with a...

    P85DL resale value

Interestingly - I did ask the Melbourne SC what I could trade up for. They offered a $120k trade on in a September 2015 P85DL (sounded a little low) with $95k to trade up to a P100D. I could do a private sale to close the gap but Tesla did not seem overly keen to get new business so I left it...

    8.1 in Australia

Hi BenT / ZTrekus I think AP2 is close (98%?) to AP1 but not quite there yet. I'm fortunate enough to have a Model S (AP1) and a Model X (AP2). Where I find AP2 to be inferior is when approaching stationary traffic. I have a had a couple of situations where AP2 would happily keep going at the...

A bad week - Drive Unit Need Service

Not holding my breath. Have been waiting for the replacement seats for three months and I expect a similar time frame for the battery and drive unit. Hopefully sooner but I imagine limited by the logistics of sea transport. I have asked if they can throw in a free 2''' hitch for the Model X for...

A bad week - Drive Unit Need Service

No later than the Model S battery needs replacing - the Model X comes up with Drive Unit Needs Service (i.e. replacing). It is only three months old and driven by the wife who treats it like a baby. Tesla have ordered a replacement. Having a bad week :( In the big scheme of things - it is...

    Battery needs service :(

Yes - insane mode will be tough for a while :) Happy to share part number when it arrives. Nathan did quote a number of ~US$20k to upgrade battery capacity but not sure whether he was joking or not (I half joked I hoped they would upgrade the battery).

    Battery needs service :(

Had a message pop up "Battery needs service. Avoid hard acceleration" on my P85DL (exactly 2 years old). Winrun R330 tyres

Just as well some suggested I take the car into Tesla! Turns out there were two loose toe in arms? Tesla tightened them and the car is perfect again. I'll tell Bob Jane and hopefully prevent it happening to others. For my part - I'll get my next set of tyres from Tesla.

    Winrun R330 tyres

An an update Since the post I have driven to Phillip Island a few times. Tyres still squeamish. Definitely afraid to accelerate or slow down rapidly. Can be really scary if accelerate to overtake. Hard to explain - at speed the tyres feel like they are horribly over inflated and have minimal...

    Winrun R330 tyres

Agree. In retrospect - would not opt for large rims again (too many compromises). Not sure I would keep the stock Tesla 19''' rims though - would opt for something a little sexier.

    Winrun R330 tyres

I'm unfortunately not enjoying the Michelin Super Sports so far. The car appears more unstable on acceleration - almost as if some wheels are going faster and then are pulled back giving the car a fraction of lateral movement. Also feels like they are over inflated (290) and not making good...

    Winrun R330 tyres

Bought a new rim from Tesla (fortunately they had one at short notice) and had it fitted. For those interested this is the cracked rim :( PS Couldn't resist testing the Michelin Super Sports - not sure if it is because they are new - but they result in more traction control (than the...

    Winrun R330 tyres

As it turns out... One of the reasons I decided to replace the rear tyres (aside from tread depth) was that there was a slow leak in the left tyre. Replacing the tyres unfortunately did not stop the leak. Took the car back to Bob Janes this morning and was told the rim was cracked :( I could...

    Winrun R330 tyres

Thanks all. In the end I decided to opt for the safer route - change my current Continentals for a pair of Michelin Super Sports (245/35/21). I have had no issue with the Continentals but wanted to see what the Michelins are like. I'm still curious on the Winruns but perhaps another time and...

car needs service unable to dc fast charge

Yes - I had this message before. Apparently there was a leak near the charge port which resulted in some water ingress (your issue may of course be different). Charge port and a cable (inside car) needed to be replaced. Car was in and out in a day and has not happened since.

What Don't You Like About Your Tesla?

I wrote in another forum I love my Tesla's (S and X) 110%. There are some issues that bring the love down to 108% though: 1] Cannot summons via key fob in Australia 2] No browser in Australia. 3] AP does not read the 'dynamic' (i.e. LED) speed signs we have in Australia 3] No 2'' tow hitch in...
