Since the original owner clearly bought it for resale, having drove it directly to their garage where it will be stored until sale, they are not eligible for the tax credit either, and claiming it would be tax fraud, absent some enormous mitigating circumstance we're not aware of.

Can you provide VIN or build month, a lot of change in 2013. Have door handles or screen been replaced? Are you original owner? Lein on title? Also, can everybody selling reasonably priced model S not live 1000 miles away?

The reason I'd mentioned VIN is to get an idea of build date. There were 2 magor refreshes in 2016, one in spring with the new no second/battery and another in October adding AP 2.0. A car made in March will be worth a lot less than one made in September, and one made in November will be worth...

Some other info people (like me) would find useful: Millage, extended warranty purchased or not, are you the original owner, clear title or leinholder, VIN, list/pictures of any scrapes/dings.

That's That's actually a really good offer then. Everything I've seen has Tesla offering very little. The sales tax saved trading in vs private sale would be at least 3500 in PA, so you're close what you'd see private party.
