    2015 Model S 85D - 135k mi, Midnight Silver/Tan with AP1, UHF Sound, Sunroof, FUSC

Hi all - I bought this car on TMC back in July 2018 with 92k miles from forum member GlowOwl and am putting it up for sale again as I have upgraded to a newer S. It's been a great car for my family and I had planned to own it another 5 years before a local deal fell into my lap that I couldn't...

    "Air Conditioning Reduced" message

Following up on this, in my case they ran AC diagnostics and identified the louvers as the problem so are going to replace them. They said all three failed their thermal test. No apparent issue with the compressor thankfully (no particulates in refrigerant, pressure OK). This is speculation but...

    "Air Conditioning Reduced" message

I just had this issue happen a week or so ago in my 2015 Model S. I left the climate control running at 81F on a blacktop parking lot, in the sun, in Phoenix, on a 115F day. When I came back to the car 15 minutes later I had this same warning. Within a couple minutes of driving the A/C was...

Dryer buddy #4 (adapter for 30 amp dryer outlet)

I posted this for sale here for the first time yesterday. Someone responded via PM and paid me via Paypal this morning. I then came back later this morning and put in an entry that said "Sold." (really interesting way for me to try to get visibility). I believe the mods deleted the thread at...

Dryer buddy #4 (adapter for 30 amp dryer outlet)

This is a re-post. I marked it as sold but the buyer reneged. I am selling a Dryer Buddy #4 which has a 30-amp dryer outlet plug and two receptacles, a 30-amp dryer plug and a NEMA 14-50. This allows an EV and dryer to remain plugged in without unplugging them over and over which damages the...

Dryer buddy #4 (adapter for 30 amp dryer outlet)

I have a Dryer Buddy #4 which I no longer have use for. Briefly it's a splitter that plugs into a 30-amp dryer outlet and then has slots for both a 30-amp dryer and the NEMA 14-50 adapter that comes with Teslas. Note that you still are limited to 24 amp charging. This is really useful if you...

Private Party Purchase (Out of State)

I purchased a car in November 2017 from San Jose CA and drove it back home to AZ. I did not have to pay any tax like you are describing. CA does have a strange title system involving “digital titles” so I had to work with the seller and the seller’s bank to get the transaction completed. But no...

    AP1 Radar With No Gasket?

Hi robby, I appreciate you coming back to update this. My S is in the SC right now from the radar being dislodged from its mount and the sensor requires replacement. When I google the part number you mentioned 1038224-00-B, the available results show as v3.3. Is that the correct part version...

3 prong dryer (NEMA 10-30) to Tesla NEMA 14-50 AC adapter - $40

I hadn't noticed the price on the adapters from Tesla was $45. I'll reduce the price to $30 in light of the pricing from Tesla. I think the pricing from Tesla had been higher when I purchased, as I looked there at the time as well and selected the product off amazon. I'm not the only person to...

3 prong dryer (NEMA 10-30) to Tesla NEMA 14-50 AC adapter - $40

I bought a splitter so I can keep that and the dryer plugged in. For quite a while we were able to just use a standard outlet to charge and would only switch over to the dryer plug like once a month, but then we started driving a bit more.

Grand Canyon south loop. It will be a stretch for this lead foot.

Maybe not worth it in this case but for other peoples info, you can also charge at the trailer village RV park in the national park. There is a shuttle to get around everywhere. You can charge all day for $10. I did that with my MS60 and had enough to get back to Phoenix with just a single stop...

3 prong dryer (NEMA 10-30) to Tesla NEMA 14-50 AC adapter - $40

Purchased it off amazon and used it for a couple months, but no longer need it. It's clean and in good working condition. Prefer local pickup in the Phoenix area but can also ship. Cost a little over $50 new. Amazon link for the product...

Breaking down the Model S range calculator: hidden features and data!

Likewise I noticed today on a road trip that the tesla in car nav estimates were spot on and much more aggressive, matching actual driving conditions. I expected to see more on the forums about it because the difference was stark from before. I noticed the difference especially because the...

Looking to by Model S (our first Tesla)! Advice/leads?

I think it really depends on when in 2013 but generally that’s a good price. After VIN about 20000 you get parking sensors and it seems there may be fewer mechanical problems. I went a little higher miles (60k) for less money ($35k), but thats an individual decision and what was available at the...

FOR SALE: 2013 Model S Tech Package

Thanks. Enjoying it a lot and so far no issues after 3 months and 5,000+ miles including a couple road trips. Best of luck finding one for around 30k. I think it will become quite a bit easier soon as people continue to get Model 3s, although my wife prefers the S and I think I do too. I would...

    WTB Loaded Model S 85

Your wishlist is unrealistic for even 45k unless you wait probably another year, but good luck. Cars with 85 kWh and AP very rarely go for under 50k, and the ones that do probably dont meet many of your other listed must haves, specifically they have relatively few options and/or high miles. A...

Tesla just dumped a ton of new CPO's on it's site

I thought this was true, but I recently purchased a 2013 MS60 through this forum about 2 months ago and ran into uncertainty over this exact issue. The previous (and original) owner said he had not paid for the supercharging upgrade, but nonetheless before completing the sale to me, he confirmed...

    Model S 60 for $32,436

no tech package is a bummer on this one, plus no parking sensors. I really underrated the value of parking sensors before buying a comparably priced S.

    Best Method for Private Sale

I bought one here not long ago for the asking price, so I would suggest here. Put out a few feelers through craigslist as well although I think there's more caution from both potential buyers and sellers with working through craigslist.
