Does car let you know if a light is out?

Yes, the display car will show the tail light out.

Can we save "favorite" addresses on nav system?

From the owners manual: https://www.tesla.com/content/dam/tesla/Ownership/Own/Model%203%20Owners%20Manual.pdf Page 107 Recent, Favorite, Home and Work Destinations When you touch Navigate on the map, a list of Recent destinations appear and you can easily navigate to any recent destination by...

    EAP - Not a Line

I have driven this stretch of road and auto-pilot did swerve away from the arrow. I had my hand on the wheel, let it finish, and it stayed in the lane. Not that staying in the lane excuses the sudden dodge. This was the first time I've had autopilot dodge a painted sign so it was weird, but it...

    Climate change by Joe Scott

This claim that "overweight EVs are part of the problem" requires evidence if you want anyone to believe you. Multiple studies say that your claim is false. Alternative Fuels Data Center: Emissions from Hybrid and Plug-In Electric Vehicles LowCVP study highlights importance of measuring whole...

    Model 3 windshield replacement

Yes, it has the T. The installers mentioned that they purchased it straight from Tesla. I'm just not a guy who knows much, or cares much about windshields so I didn't want to give the impression that I was 100% certain that it was direct from Tesla. The installers also mentioned that glass with...

    Model 3 windshield replacement

Here is an update on my windshield replacement for others who need to replace their model 3 windshields. I ending up deciding to use a third party to replace my windshield. I used Bluechip in Phoenix, AZ. When I called they were very familiar with the model 3 and had new windshields on order...

    Model 3 windshield replacement

Thanks all for your feedback. I hear you guys loud and clear on the skepticism of anyone other than Tesla. I asked around locally too and I've heard both good and bad stories of third party windshield installers. It sounds like if I want to be sure I don't have issues Tesla is the way to go. I'm...

    Model 3 windshield replacement

Has anyone had their Model 3 windshield replaced through Safelite? I have to get a new windshield as you can see. Geico is assuring me they order the windshield directly from Tesla and will reimburse me for the autopilot calibration. Which sounds good but they did ask me some strange questions...

    I hate closing the frunk

As far as finger prints go, I close it with a single closed fist over the logo. A Tesla tech told me that is how he does it and no finger prints. It's worked fine for me over the last few months. Though I would also prefer a soft close...

    Audio (Slacker) crackling sound?

No need the reboot. Just pause the music, then unpause and it will be gone. I started a thread about this some time back and I've used that tip to fix it the few times it has happened.

    Extra Key Cards?

I just did this. I know it was in the U.S. but here is my invoice with part numbers. They are only sold in pairs, like when you pick up the vehicle. I was told I had to have all the cards with me during the reprogramming. Took about 20 minutes total. Edit: I was not charged for the...

It finally happened, now I'm looking for paint shops in Tucson. Recommendations?

That is solid life advice all around. I'm going to get some quotes and see what the experts say it will cost, then decide if it's worth it for me. I might delay and put money towards one of those fancy protection films on the bumper when I decide I've had enough of looking at it. I already love...

It finally happened, now I'm looking for paint shops in Tucson. Recommendations?

I get the pessimism. I've checked and the senor is still working and there doesn't appear to be any damage below the bumper, so I have some hope that I can escape needing parts. If I can't escape parts I'll be driving a rental for a while. Thanks gtmotor, I reached out for a quote from Formula1.

It finally happened, now I'm looking for paint shops in Tucson. Recommendations?

Parking far away from other cars wasnt enough, some dummy clipped my front end and didn't leave a note. The damage looks mostly cosmetic. Now I want to find somewhere to fix it in Tucson or maybe Phoenix. Any recommendations?

Static/crackling on some random slacker songs.

Good to hear it's not just my car, which likely means I just have to wait for it to be worked out in newer versions. I agree its a pretty minor complaint since it happens so infrequently. I'll have to give the pause/play trick a try. Thanks for the tip!

Static/crackling on some random slacker songs.

I've been trying to track down a minor issue I have with my model3. Every once in a while I get some static/crackling during a song. It kind of sounds like a blown speaker coming from the speaker row near the windsheild. l'm trying to decide if and how I need to bring this up with the service...

    GEICO Insurance

I too got a pretty bad quote from Geico with a clean driving record. I haven't changed my insurance for the last 10 years. I don't often change cars. I shopped around and Progressive gave me a quote for less than what I was currently paying with adding the Model 3. I called Geico to cancel the...

First Time Tesla Owner - Canada

While I'm in the US I think can answer some of these. 1) No satellite radio. FM, bluetooth and streaming with slacker only. 2) I used to be a big Android auto user prior to my model 3. I haven't missed it. The biggest plus I never thought about before owning the car is that I no longer have to...
