I’d only use it when I thought there was a problem like the day I charged my car to 90% and it only went to 266 instead of 280. That happened overnight. Tesla said it was normal. Instant loss of that much to me is not normal.

Wider tires have better traction and more power can be supplied to them before they spin. The car definitely holds back on the launch with 18” Aeros.

The bumper issue makes any water above 5 inches a no-go despite any other reason. I heard the newer Tesla models have airtight batteries. The older ones built in 2017 and earlier are not. Just what I heard. Not confirmed.

Wasn’t there an issue with replacing the puddle lights and windows not opening a little when you open the door? I remember someone mentioning his window broke when he closed the door because it didn’t retract a little with the new puddle lights.

I watched my SC pair a couple of cards to my car and it required a laptop and special software. Pairing a phone as a key is instantaneous but the 2 cards took about 10 minutes. This was as of 3 months ago.

Windows 10 has an ADK update that updates diskpart to recognize multiple partitions on a removeable device. I don’t have that. I’m still on Windows 8.1. Didn’t work for me. Will have to try a 3rd party app. Any recommendations?

This is a response to my question directly on the Tesla website. I asked if the website was going to be updated to reflect the $4000 price originally offered. At first they said to wait because they were working on it. After a while and it wasn’t updated, I received this:

It almost came out in v9 but they held it back. I think sometime next year. If they charge me more than $4000 next year and charge for a hardware charge (CPU), then I should have given them the interest free loan. If it comes out in 5 more years, then I could have done something different.

I think the price will go up.

Tesla wrote me and said to pay the $5000 and they will reimburse me $1000 within 30 days. With all of the price fluctuations, I’m on the fence with ordering now vs later. My thought is they might not honor the original $4000 upgrade if I wait too long. Your thoughts?

i used to charge to 90%. Once during the first month, I charged to 100% and it gave me 311 miles. After that I limited my charging to keep it between 30%-70%. I finally went on my first long trip so I charged it to 100% and it only hit 298 mile range. I lost 13 mikes of range in 4 months. I’m...

V9 should have all of the features except AP on Nav. Elon stayed it need a few more weeks since he didn’t like the rating it got on Consumer Reports. Few more weeks isn’t bad if it means a better AP for us.
