To preface, I never had a problem with my hood but they performed this anyway when I took the car in for the rotation.

No parts replacement needed. They inspected and re-seated the latch assembly according to some TSB. It was a fairly quick visit as I was there for a tire rotation and they took care of it at the same time.

FYI: there is a TSB for this. If you take your Tesla in for service, they will perform this fix.
