Vendor New Refresh Headlights & Taillights for Tesla Model S 2012-2020 | T Sportline x Alpharex collab NOVA Headlights and Pro Series Taillights

Same. One could hope there will be a Plaid+, though that will most likely be a very long wait.

Vendor New Refresh Headlights & Taillights for Tesla Model S 2012-2020 | T Sportline x Alpharex collab NOVA Headlights and Pro Series Taillights

Would love to see that. I agree the OEM lux could be higher. What made the old ones even worse is the extremely poor off-center coverage. So many times I've failed to spot someone or animals off to the side until the last minute!

Vendor New Refresh Headlights & Taillights for Tesla Model S 2012-2020 | T Sportline x Alpharex collab NOVA Headlights and Pro Series Taillights

Looks great of course, but hard to quantify without back-to-back comparison on fixed exposure setting. Loving the sharp light cut-off!

Vendor New Refresh Headlights & Taillights for Tesla Model S 2012-2020 | T Sportline x Alpharex collab NOVA Headlights and Pro Series Taillights

The '22+ tail lights DO NOT fit the '21-'22 (which I presume shares the same base/mounting provision as the pre-'21 generation?) according to the video below. I confirmed it with the video author, who has the '21 refresh MS-LR (2021-May build date). The '22+ matrix headlight fit the '21-'22...

Vendor New Refresh Headlights & Taillights for Tesla Model S 2012-2020 | T Sportline x Alpharex collab NOVA Headlights and Pro Series Taillights

I do think @TSportline meant to say 'tail lights'. From what I know the tail lights have completely different base/mount different between the '21-'22 and '22+ MS. The headlights, however, share the same base (would mount w.o. modification), but the wiring harness is different (requires an adapter).

    Supercharger - Pomona, CA - 68 Rio Ranch Road (LIVE 4 Apr 2024, 24 V3 stalls)

Stalls are still covered by plastic; not ready as of tonight. IMHO, this is a terrible place/lot for the Superchargers. It's super cramped and competes w. the Starbucks drive-through traffic. I'm surprised they did not locate them in the Walmart parking lot, which is always wide open.

    2021 Refresh Center Screen Burn-In

That looks like an issue with either the display, display interface or display memory; not a screen burn-in. Definitely not normal and should be serviced.

S/X Palladium Motorized Screen Tilt Kit

Okay so that’s a no for hard line control; must be done by the app. Thanks.

S/X Palladium Motorized Screen Tilt Kit

Yup yup. You've put it more eloquently. I was directly answering wrt the RGB GUI needing a SW configuration change. The RBG control is clearly done off-board in your implantation and you are leveraging the existing Ambient Lighting line as a trigger (no SW change necessary). It's smart and a...

    Very good to know! Thanks.
  13. THX723

S/X Palladium Motorized Screen Tilt Kit

Most definitely will require a config change. The triggering does not, however, as that is already tied to existing 'Ambient Light' button.

  17. THX723

S/X Palladium Motorized Screen Tilt Kit

Very nice. As expected, the critical part is getting access to the vehicle configuration change, which makes it not feasible for most of us. I really hope Tesla would open that up as an official paid service. Btw, looks likes he also retrofitted to the new matrix headlights! #jealous

2021 Refresh Tail Lamp and Charge Port Retrofit Project

I commend them for coming up with another option in a segment that is sorely lacking in choices. However, that is just not my cup of tea. Give me the simplistic non-animated 2022+ OEM style retrofit and I'm happy as a clam.

I'm excited from the day one and am more & more excited. Digest the comparison! Change is a natural phenomenon-look ahead.

I'm surprised no one's talked about the omission of the integrated air pump/reservoir. I'm bummed about this along with the range.

  24. THX723

Anyone still rocking a Pi Zero W smart drive for TeslaCam on Sentry Mode?

The USB-C port is power & data. And as mentioned earlier, the only port capable of host mode (act as an USB storage device). If you weren’t using that port with an USB-C to USB-A cable connected to the car, I don’t see how you ever had TeslaUSB working. That probably also explains why you’re...

Pirelli Pzero vs Michelin AS4 vs Conti Procontact

Different classes of tires. The OEM Pirelli P Zero (PZ4) is a summer performance tire. The Michelin PS AS4 and Continental ProContact RX are both all-season grand touring tires. You'll have better dry performance with the Pirelli at the cost of durability and wet performance compare to the...

Anyone still rocking a Pi Zero W smart drive for TeslaCam on Sentry Mode?

FYI, the TeslaFi integration has officially made it into the latest macrone/teslausb build. So no need for the ad hoc testing anymore. Just re-setup your device from scratch and it'll pull the latest greatest from the server. Be sure to use the latest config file and update with your settings...

Hardwire radar on refresh model s

For those that would rather not cut 'n splice, Valentine Research just released a USB-C -> 12V convertor. You would have to route the cable into the center console area, which can be done cleanly behind panels. https://store.valentine1.com/store/item.asp?i=20240

Anyone still rocking a Pi Zero W smart drive for TeslaCam on Sentry Mode?

Anyone here using TeslaUSB and is a current TeslaFi subscriber? I just finished implementing a new function using TeslaFI API (instead of using the Tesla API) to keep the car awake while archiving to server. Here's an excerpt out of the configuration notes I added, explaining the advantages of...

Model S Plaid Brakes Are Terrible!

I like the Carbotech pads, but if you’re looking for better cold-bite, then the 1521 will likely not cut it for you. You’re trading cold-end performance for the hot-end. What year is your Plaid? If pre 2023, have you considered Tesla’s newly announced pad upgrade? Below is the email...

Model Y rear ended - what should I do?

Tesla SC would be my recommendation, so they can asses if your battery is affected in any way. Secondly, file a claim with your insurance, if you haven’t already done so, and let them deal w the other party’s insurance.

Model S Plaid Track Package Waiting Room

Looks awesome. I do have to point out, based on the finish of the rotor, optimal bed-in was not achieved.
  45. THX723

Model S Plaid Track Package Waiting Room

Personally, I’m doing it mainly for the brake confidence in daily and spirited driving. I will however track her several times to get to know the car’s behavior at and beyond the limit.
  46. THX723

Model S Plaid Track Package Waiting Room

Top speed (200 mph) is achievable without engaging Track Mode, provided you have the requisite Tesla CCB + software update. Less clear is if revised suspension/handling software tweaks also apply outside of Track Mode.

Model S Plaid Track Package Waiting Room

It shouldn’t be difficult to see if proper bedding had been carried out by observing the rotor surface. If done properly, the surface should be uniformly smooth and polish-esque; no ripples or hot spots.
  49. THX723

Model S Plaid Track Package Waiting Room

Not in my experience. It really depends on the nature of the work done. Since I’ve hear it took 1 service center only 6 hours to complete the CCB brake job, I wasn’t sure if it’d qualify.
