I believe the reason they continue to make 2023s for as long as possible is a business decision.
Think about this: the market is watching closely to see how many cars tesla ships each quarter. This materially impacts the stock price. The market is watching to see if price decreases impacted...
Update here.
Ordered Nov 6 - MSLR SG/White.
EDD 12/17-12/26
Pickup scheduled this Thursday 12/21
2023 VIN (Dont care - I'm holding onto this for a long time and doing FUSC xfer)
Hello,
I am looking for some lightweight forged wheels for my soon to arrive 2023 Model S.
I quite like these Forged One FF10s. Weight looks very good too at <24lbs per wheel.

Is anyone familiar with these?
Thanks
Same here. VIN assigned this morning. 12-21/27 EDD. SG/white MSLR. Toronto delivery.
Order date Nov 6.
Which SC will you be picking up at tesltoronto? Perhaps I'll see you there as I have a feeling our cars will be sharing a transport truck. 🙂
Got my VIN this morning. '23 VIN. EDD 12/21-27.
MS LR SG/White. Canadian delivery.
I'm taking it because I want the USC xfer and will keep this car as long as my previous.
Christmas gift for the family! 🎄🙂
Actually, that's a VERY good theory.
When they calculate their Q4 total vehicles shipped to the street, their reporting could very well be based on 2023 models. Given the heavy focus on hitting those growth metrics, that's a very good hypothesis on why 23 VINS continue to be rolled out.
Oh wow.
I ordered my MSLR (Stealth Grey / White) on Nov 6. My EDD updated today from 12/7-12/31 to 12/11-12/31.
Look at the bright side: You're getting ambient lights + a front camera! lol
Nov 4 order date here. No VIN yet. EDD 12/7-12/31.
My SA told me it wouldn't come until late December at the earliest, as they were shutting down the X/S lines for two weeks in November. That appears to be holding water based on lack of updates.
Amazing! I ordered the exact same car colour configuration on Nov 6! Still no VIN.
any chance you can post more pictures? Haven't seen many pics of Stealth Grey yet since they only started production recently.
Thanks - tremendously valuable information. I'm familiar with the disadvantages of Al vs. Cu as well (work in the industry) and will be going copper for those reasons/safety.
Definitely will be doing a 100A panel v. a disconnect - thanks for clarifying that it will qualify as a proper...
Thansk Ludatik -
Your comments are inline with my expectations. I have a 200A service (and a pony panel - so lots of room). I was planning on using T90 wire in conduit and a 100A disconnect directly above/nearby the charger.
Hello Everyone -
I'm going to install a HPWC shortly for my Model S that has the dual chargers.
If I'm going to the trouble of installation the conductor to my garage, I may as well wire up a 100A circuit. All the online guidance for self-installations is related to US wiring specs (THHN)...
Hi - I've had the total opposite experience. Ordered my HWPC on Wednesday, and it arrived this morning. I received order confirmation right away and then shipping confirmation within 24hrs. I've been very happy!
