    Solarglass Roof - V3 - any customers?

Interesting. If you can, would be great if you can get close-up photos of the sides of the tiles during construction, the gap, and the layering of the tiles, including around the flashing and sides. Would love to understand how water is kept out and the seals.

    Solarglass Roof - V3 - any customers?

I have one on order, exciting to see progress! Any thoughts on the commenter in this reddit thread that claims there isn't enough overlap in the tiles and water will simply leak through (hence the need for the robust underlay?). I don't know enough about roofing to have an opinion, but it does...

Tesla Dashcam Failed When Needed Most - During an Accident

There must be something going on here that's we're missing. Why would so many of us be having this issue?

Tesla Dashcam Failed When Needed Most - During an Accident

Yes, checked that too, unfortunately, nothing there. I'm baffled as to why it didn't save the footage unless it saved it somehow to internal storage for an emergency scenario? (not sure if that exists). It normally works fine.

Tesla Dashcam Failed When Needed Most - During an Accident

Wow, I wonder if there is some bug where, during an accident, the system doesn't write the cached video to the drive?

Tesla Dashcam Failed When Needed Most - During an Accident

No, I've actually saved many times before. In this case, for whatever reason in this particular case, it didn't save (or corrupted) the save. You'd think Tesla would have fixed the edge cases on saving clips by now.

Tesla Dashcam Failed When Needed Most - During an Accident

I have a 2018 Tesla Model X, HW3 with the latest firmware at the time of this writing (2019.31.12.2) and a high-speed USB drive to capture dashcam footage - worked fine until now. I was unfortunately rear-ended by another driver - luckily fairly minor damage. About a minute after the accident...

Tesla DashCam Not Working (no icon)

Service couldn't find any issues now that it's working again. Have to wait until it goes out again.

Tesla DashCam Not Working (no icon)

It suddenly started working again. It hadn't worked for a couple of weeks then went up to the snow, Sentry Mode was triggered (full alarm) and then it worked. Very odd. Now powers the phone again as well. Not clear if the Sentry Alarm activation reset it or the cold / snow temps.

Tesla DashCam Not Working (no icon)

I originally used a USB Power tester like this: https://amzn.to/2KjWqjh But then realized you can simply plug in the phone to see if it charges.

Tesla DashCam Not Working (no icon)

Ok, so it turns out the front two USB ports on my X are dead. :( Made service appt.

Tesla DashCam Not Working (no icon)

The Tesla Dash Cam icon no longer appears (for last month or so). I've spent the last few days trying everything, resetting the Model X, formatting various USB sticks (on both Mac and PC with diskpart, 3rd party programs, etc.), tried SD card in USB reader, etc., etc. Still nothing. Anyone...

Who does Mercedes use for their self driving systems?

Mobileye - Most Impressive Self Driving Demo Yet (CES 2019)

Thanks again Bladerskb - very helpful as usual! How about these manufacturers: Mercedes (NVIDIA?), Toyota/Lexus (?), Honda (?), Subaru (inhouse EyeSight?), Land Rover / Jag (?). Any insights as to their platforms and strategy?

Mobileye - Most Impressive Self Driving Demo Yet (CES 2019)

Haha, sounds like we have similar tastes. This SUV is actually for my wife and she prefers the interior of the Volvo (less complicated). Definitely not as powerful or tech ready as the X5, for sure. That said, when we test drove a brand new 2019, the Pilot Assist (maybe version 3 now using...

What about Volvo? What is it currently using and have you heard anything about future plans for them? They were always on the leading edge before.

Mobileye - Most Impressive Self Driving Demo Yet (CES 2019)

Super helpful, thanks! I wish Mobileye would promote this better (like Intel Inside) so consumers can better select these systems. Is there a site that describes or lists this information?

Mobileye - Most Impressive Self Driving Demo Yet (CES 2019)

Yeah, I was surprised. Maybe it was downgrading to LKA like you were saying, but I don't think so. The UI was also a bit confusing, but I'm coming from a Tesla, so most other ADAS systems seem more complex from that standpoint. Will try again and pay attention to the mode.

Mobileye - Most Impressive Self Driving Demo Yet (CES 2019)

Bladerskb - Good info on Mobileye, thanks. One thing that's frustrating is trying to understand which new cars have which versions of EyeQ chips in them. Is there a list somewhere? I know the 2019 BMW X5 has the EyeQ 4 chip with a trifocal camera, but when I test drove it near San...
