I’m not sure, I’ve adopted a habit to unlock the doors before opening the trunk cause that alarm is just so annoying. I can try to test the trunk-first method for a while.

Don't know how the patent is written but another workaround could be to let Tesla autopilot to read speed limit signs and then ask driver's confirmation to change the speed accordingly.

Perhaps Tesla could get around this patent by letting the fleet to read the speed limit signs and store that data to map database. Obviously this wouldn't be a perfect solution but at least it would improve the current situation. E.g. here in Finland we have different speed limits on highways...

Are the 3rd party charging station locations stored on Tesla's server so that they are downloaded along with the map data while you are driving? I.e. Tesla can add new stations and they become visible immediately, without car SW update.

I agree, but I think that 12 hours is already quite long time to have highish SOC, which can be the case during weekends. Hope the next update fixes this bug.

This morning the SOC was 93%. The charging had stopped maybe 12 hours before so the peak had probably been around 94 or 95%. I reduced the limit from 90 down to 80% in order not to unnecessarily put strain on the battery when the overcharging occurs.

What's the normal service life of a CR2032 in a key fob? Not absolutely sure if I really had to but I anyway replaced it just after 6 months of use. At least haven't seen "key not detected" errors since.

I've tried also that exact location and having the fob lengthways, sideways, wheels down, wheels up..... I guess I just have to let the service to fix this connection problem, it may also have something to do with those "key not detected" errors.

I've tried all this - just one fob in the car, CR2032 replaced, all imaginable locations & positions tried on the center console, mobile phone in airplane mode etc. I started to get the "key not detected" error in the car quite frequently, hope the battery replacement solved that.

Still haven't been able to update either of my key fobs, just keep on getting the "key fob not found at center console, please try again" error. I also get, maybe twice a month, "key fob not detected inside the car" error. Maybe those two errors are related?

Is LX Luxembourg? My S is pre-raven from last spring but it came with all the necessary internals needed for CCS charging so I just had to buy the adapter itself. Haven't really used it, just tested it once, but it's anyway good to have it aboard to max the charging possibilites on the road.

Might be a good idea to take your car to a professional car detailing company. They can inspect the paint, measure the thickness etc. If those defects are only on the very surface they probably can be polished off and then the paint should be protected e.g. with a ceramic coating.

Maybe not guite that guick & simple method but I've deleted files from dashcam memory stick using Android mobile phone (Huawei P20 Pro). I connect the stick to the phone with USB-C / USB-A female cable and use the stock Files app.

I had the same issue at Home and the reason was that my garage was apparently a bit too far away from the actual street address location. I got around that by saving my garage's gps coordinates as my Home location.
