Lexus of course sells regular fossilcars and hybrids, in direct competition with BMW, Mercedes and Audi. Tesla is the only player when it comes to high performance electric cars. (Not counting city cars like the i3, and really expensive cars like the $550k Mercedes SLS AMG or $980k Rimac Concept One.)

Most people who want to buy an electric car will take the i3. It comes from a local trusted brand. And you get 2 i3 for one Model S.

Realist, you should get more realistic. i3 is only a proove that BMW is NOT able to beat Tesla.

BERLIN, DEUTSCHLAND – Elon Musk, Mitbegründer und CEO von Tesla Motors(NASDAQ: TSLA), besuchte diese Woche München und Berlin, um den Model S Kunden in Deutschland drei wichtige Entwicklungen bekannt zu geben, während Tesla die Auslieferungen in Europa im vierten Quartal erhöht und die Produktion für 2014 weiter steigert.
"Tesla wird in Deutschland viel Geld investieren," so Musk. "Deutschland ist ein Land, das Automobiltechnik schätzt und daher extrem wichtig für uns ist. Es ist ein entscheidender Schritt für Tesla, dass das Model S zur Markteinführung in Deutschland von den Kunden so gut angenommen wird."
Die erste wichtige Investition zielt darauf, in Deutschland so schnell wie möglich Supercharger Stationen zu installieren.
Die ersten Bauarbeiten werden innerhalb des nächsten Monats beginnen. Zunächst sollen die Autobahnstrecken zwischen München und Stuttgart, München und Zürich sowie Köln und Frankfurt mit den in den USA schon erfolgreich eingesetzten Schnellladestationen versorgt werden. Das Supercharger Netzwerk in Deutschland wird schnell weiter expandieren und Strecken zwischen Frankfurt und Stuttgart sowie Stuttgart und Zürich einschließen.
Bis Ende März 2014 sollen 50 Prozent von Deutschland mit Teslas Schnellladestationen abgedeckt sein, bis Ende 2014 werden es 100 Prozent sein. Das bedeutet auch, dass Deutschland bis Ende 2014 mehr Supercharger Stationen pro Kopf der Bevölkerung haben wird, als irgendein anderes Land. Zusätzlich werden alle Supercharger Stationen, die in Deutschland installiert werden, auf 135kW aufgerüstet, so dass sie ein noch schnelleres Reisen auf langen Strecken möglich machen. Tesla betont, dass dieses Netzwerk für alle Autofirmen zugänglich sein wird, die ein Auto auf den Markt bringen, das mit 135 kW geladen werden kann.
Als zweite Investition, wird Tesla die Anzahl an Service Centern in Deutschland rapide ausbauen, um seinen Model S Besitzern den besten Service und Kundendienst zu garantieren. Fünf neue Service Center werden noch bis Ende dieses Jahres eröffnet. Bis Ende 2014 werden 80% der Deutschen im Umkreis von maximal 100 Kilometern eines Tesla-Service Centers leben. Dieser Komfort und die Nähe zum nächstgelegenen Service wird den Tesla Kunden in Deutschland ausgesprochen entgegenkommen.
Die Entwicklung des Model S war von Anfang an mit dem ehrgeizigen Ziel verbunden, in jedem Land der Welt das beste Auto zu sein. In Deutschland erfordert dies auch ein höchstes Maß an Performance auf der Autobahn. Daher hat Tesla als dritten großen Schritt angekündigt, ein kostenloses High-Speed-Performance Upgrade für das Model S in Deutschland anzubieten, um es für die Autobahn zu optimieren. Dieses Upgrade wird für alle Kunden in Deutschland erhältlich sein, und beinhaltet eine Nachrüstung aller Model S, die bereits ausgeliefert wurden und auf den Straßen unterwegs sind.
