Huh, their deposits are up to $985 million (from $854 million).
Yes, But I'm sure that includes the Tesla Semi and Roadster.
Absolutely those are included too. Plus deposits for Power Walls and Tesla Solar products.Plus the $2,500 from people configuring their cars? (If they are non-refundable, are they still considered deposits until the car is sold since Tesla can't take the profit until the sale??)
They should. The unveiling was last quarter though, so I would expect the majority of those deposits would have been there already.Yes, But I'm sure that includes the Tesla Semi and Roadster.
I'm not sure. Tesla characterizes it as a nonrefundable order payment, not a deposit, so they might include it under assets as cash or inventory.Plus the $2,500 from people configuring their cars? Your Order Payment covers the cost of these activities and other processing costs and is nonrefundable; it is not a deposit for the Vehicle.
Soooooo basically saying that the compute solution will need to change, as expected. Place your bets now on the price hike that comes with it!
That's only 15,700 Model 3s (assuming $50k each), or about 3-6 weeks of production depending on what rate you use.$785 million loss is a positive.

Agreed, assuming 20% margins that would be 5 times the sales volume needed (785M * 5) to get 785M profit, At 50k per car that would be 78,500 LR M3 cars, or 4 months of production at 5000 per week. Of course this ignores S & X revenues..I like the optimism, but you calculated revenue, need 4-5x the quantity to get that in gross profit.
Aha, right you are! That’s what happens when you type out the first thing that pops in your head.I like the optimism, but you calculated revenue, need 4-5x the quantity to get that in gross profit.
