20" Model X Slipstream Wheels on Model S

I wanted a factory look, sticky rubber, and the freedom to drive without the fear of imminent pothole related wheel damage. The 20" Model X Slipstreams fit perfectly and only a Tesla aficionado would ever know they aren't a stock fitment.

Wheels are 20x9 ET 35MM and 20x9.5 ET 40MM. Tires are 245/40 and 285/35 Michelin Pilot Super Sport. No rubbing (except the fronts in reverse at certain angles, like the OEM 21s), no issues.

Mike, thanks for the post. It’s beenover a year now, are you still happy with the wheels? Also, would you happen to have a picture of the wheels from the rear of the car? I’d love to see how the offset differs.

Thanks!

My experience so far with the MX 20s has been a positive one. Similar ride comfort, range, to the 19s but the 20s just appear to fit so much better.
Thanks for the reply. I looked on eBay and found a ton of OEM rims for sale. I’m going to order some up and throw the Super Sports in them.

Do you have a picture of the car from behind with a low angle. I bet these things make the MS look like a Monster!

Thanks again,

Latorre

I had a negative experience of driving on wheels of different widths on a Jaguar XJ car in Moscow, where in the spring many roads have a track after the studded wheels that many people use. A car with different wheel widths is very poorly controlled on such roads. Therefore, I plan to buy all four wheels in the amount of 20/9, although of course the rear slipstream wheels of the 20/10 look great on model S.
Does anyone have all the slipstream wheels 20/9? What are your impressions and can show photos of the rear wheels?
