I was wondering if anyone else was lucky like me to get a brand new 90kw battery in a 2014 or older model s. My 85kw battery went bad 6 months ago I was told they were going to give me a refurbished 85 in a few weeks turns out they no longer doing refurbish on any older batteries. After 6 months I was told I was going to be getting a brand new 90kw. Sure enough today I had it installed. Already I'm seeing over 30 more miles at my current 90% charge. I also fell I accelerate faster.

My 2012 P85 just had it's pack go bad and as of now they have not identified what it will be replaced with. Here's to hoping I get as lucky as you did!

I was just told my 2013 85kwh battery would be sent back to refurbish. Less than 20k mile on the car, too.

Might be a stupid question - how does one know that the pack is bad? As in, what are the typical symptoms before I take it to a SC, which in my case is 100+ miles away from me. I have an 2012 S85 and notice some strange sounds from the pack but would be good to know the typical symptoms? Thanks.

My battery went from 217 miles to under 100 miles in 2 hours sitting in the garage. When I went inside I had a error saying battery needs service and I could not charge.

I believe and hope you get a new 90kw battery seems to be very common lately

Weird that they have new 90s kicking around. Would think they'd give you a 75.

I wouldn't of accepted anything lower then my original. I'm getting 300 miles on a full charge now

Ironic think is that they put the P85 batteries in the 75s as BTX8 batteries and maybe that is why they don't have any sitting around. I am hoping for a similar failure in 2024 - "Sorry Krash we just used up the old 75 batteries. Would you take a P100 battery?"
