2014 P85DL 45% SOC, cold battery, 60 degree outdoor weather: 305kW???

305 kW sounds low.

I made a run early this morning on my commute.

SOC: 60%
Ambient temperature: 55F.
Sport mode with suspension in Low position.
Like new 21” Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires on perfectly flat, smooth, relatively new asphalt.
Speed limit is 50 so I didn’t push it past 60.

I had driven about 40 miles before the run, so the battery pack would have been much warmer than outside temperatures.

I got a reading of 387 kW max.

PowerTools isn’t showing the 0-60 time properly but from the time stamps, it was 4.251 sec which is about what I would expect without activating Ludicrous.

Means nothing if you don't know what you're battery temp was.

It was parked in the garage so I would assume the battery temp was exactly 60°F I guess this makes me feel a little bit better.

What is it about the newer 100d non-performance models that make them so much faster seemingly at a lower state of charge and or cold battery pack like 60°F ? The loaner car I had felt substantially faster than mine even though it wasn’t performance or of course Ludacris. Mine only feels Faster when the battery is completely warmed up or off the line like 0 to 10 mpH.

This seems very low to me, even at 45% soc... car was sitting for 5 hours outside not charging before the run. What could be the problem? Does seem like ludicrous power. 56k miles. Using powertools

This morning my wife asked me to head off to the store for eggs.

After driving 1 mile(I don't like to stress the motors until they've warmed just a little bit).
SOC 65%.
Battery temp according to TM-SPY was an average of 64F.

WOT run from 20 MPH.

Max power was 337KW.

I then turned on "max battery" where it said more than 60 minutes. On the way back from the store, when max battery said "Est 40 min", I did another WOT run

SOC 60%
Battery temp 80F
Max power 375KW.

For reference, this battery currently makes a max of about 445KW at 90% with temp at 110 to 115F.

So you're battery is in great shape...in fact a little better than mine.

You can see battery temperature makes a huge difference.

Looking back on an old thread to see what I’ve learned over the years on this forum. This was a great response. Thanks!
