2018 M3 - bumper damage - do I need Tesla certified repair shop?

I got rear ended and got a small crack in my M3 bumper. Getting an official Tesla owned body shop to deal with it is a huge pain. For a small crack, do I really need anything but a normal body shop, or are there bumper sensors in M3 2018 that could be damaged if not done by an expert? I suspect they’ll need to replace the bumper to fix the damage, even though it’s super minor.

I would try to see what Tesla quotes you. I tried to get a new front bumper cover recently but was told the 2018 painted cover was not available. The rear bumper might be available though. If it is only cosmetic damage any good body shop is probably going to be fine.
