2018 M3LR Ccs charging

Hi all,

I am going to purchase a model 3 soon and saw this 2018 today that did not have ccs adapter support. I have a hardwired chargepoint flex at home for my other ev and would like to use it with a j1772 -> nacs adapter for the model 3. Will this be possible with a tesla that doesn't have ccs adapter support?

Thanks!

J1772 != CCS

CCS is the DC Fast Charge portion of the standard as far as that screen on the car is concerned. J1772 home charging units are only the AC portion of the "Combined" CCS-1 charge port used on non-Tesla vehicles. The 2018 Model 3 natively supports J1772 signaling on the NACS port. The passive adapter provided with the car does everything you need to charge your Model 3 from a J1772 "Level 2 AC" charging station at home or in public.
