2018 S 100D - AP2 or AP2.5?

Hey all! Newbie here, just ordered (9/14) a S 100D and curious if it will come with AP2 or AP2.5? Also, on delivery is it likely that I will have the recent 9.0 update?

AP2 was only in production for a short while, all new cars come with the AP2.5 hardware. Given the recent distribution of V9 to early access owners, I'd say there's a very good chance yours will be up to date when you take delivery next month.

You have AP2.5! It doesn't matter whether it will have 9.0 or not. All Tesla's will get the update whenever it's ready. There is a good chance yours will have it, but if it doesn't, it's super easy to install.

It's not a big deal. You can trust Tesla that they will put the latest and greatest hardware and software on your car the moment it is built. If new hardware comes next month/year/whatever, then don't worry about it, because Tesla's are constantly evolving.

Of course, inevitably AP2.8 hardware will start to ship immediately after they build your car.
