It is worth asking. Just saw a brand new MX 100D go for $75k with current tax credit. The good deals get snatched up almost immediately by all the OAs out there.

Tesla had a $35k discount on it. Last week saw a brand new X P100DL loaded go for $86k. The only problem is that these deals only come up once a week or once every other week. There is no pattern or reason to Tesla's sales.

So the problem is that there are thousands of people doing daily searches for these Tesla deals. As soon as one is posted it's sold within hours. OAs have access to cars before they get listed on Tesla.com so these deals never even make it to ev-cpo. You need a really active OA to snag one. I've been minutes late on 8 deals already.

Rather than fight thousands of people for the Tesla sales, I'd rather just find a seller willing to sell theirs in line with Tesla pricing.
