2019.12.1.2 Update Problem with Sentry Mode

I usually turn Sentry Mode on when parking our Model 3. The latest update to 2019.12.1.2 appears to have problems when Sentry Mode is active. I've been getting notifications on the app that an update is available and it will take 25 minutes. I've told it several times to install but the install appears to cancel by itself and I'd be back at the update available comment. Also had a couple of notifications on the car display that an update will install at 2:30am the next morning (my default time). I said fine. The next morning - no update. This morning I rebooted the car computer and told it to install the update using the app. I'd soon see a dialog on the car display describing Sentry Mode. I'd seen that several times before. Hmmm, must be a connection! So, I turned off Sentry Mode and tried the install - it worked!
