2019 MX100 unlocked itself and head lights on middle of the night

I happen to be walking by the front door this evening at 11:30pm and saw a bright light outside and noticed my car had turned on it’s headlights and unlocked itself. I didn’t have the key fob on me or anywhere near the car. Any idea why it would do that? Kinda creeped me out thinking it was becoming sentient. Lol. My concern was it unlocked? I saw the side mirrors had unfolded.

Stop thinking of it as a car. It is a computer connected to a bunch of actuators. That should answer your question.

No way anyone can answer that question definitively. You could have checked yourself by trying the doors or checking the Tesla app on your phone.

If it's unlocking, then the keyfob(s) is too close to the car. Move the key further away or put in a metal box to test this theory out.

You surprised it. Once the front mirrors were extended for flight control, it was ready to start flapping the doors and take off.
