Good luck with the service center. I have the same issue with a SC appointment coming up. I wish I knew what to tell the them about the problem. It is sounding more like a earlier manufacturing issue mine was built in June 2020.

It could also be purely a software issue. In later models, they removed data functionality from the center console ports, so the code might be a bit messed up for the console ports and heavily favor the glove box port.

The USB issue currently will only be solved with a software update! Service centers are not gonna do anything for you….

No it is software issue. All our center ports data device detection got wonky around 12/2023 - 02/2024 since software updates are rolled out slowly across the fleet. A work around is mentioned in this posting.

I just got update 2024.20.6.2 and it did not fix the issue.
