2020 S LR HV battery replaced

2020 Long Range raven 45k miles
posting as FYI
Last week, driving down the highway, everything normal, hit with several codes and car goes into limp mode. Made it home but couldnt drive after that. Reached out to service center, had it towed up there, and this was the scope of work performed. I'm sure there are smarter guys here that tell me what they think happened, I honestly have no idea. My basic warranty is expired but they replaced the 12v battery and coolant at no charge to me.

i thought the same thing, no idea what happened there. on the car when i bought it.

I'm afraid to look at the underside of my car. 91k miles, no problems, don't want to scare anything up.

I looked under my then brand new car at delivery. Pack already hit something, but thankfully just missing paint.

100% it had nothing to do with it...

Greater than zero chance there is other unseen damage elsewhere.

I've only owned the car about 7 months, got it with 38k miles on it. never had a problem before except a door handle motor needing replaced. i only charge at home.

If a pack failed due to impact damage it would typically be an internal isolation event and the car would tell you to pull over and exit the vehicle safely. It wouldn't say 'power reduced'.

But, it does not have to be that type of failure. A simple puncture would let moisture in over time, and in time, a short or BMB corrosion could cause a module to be shut down.
