Got a VIN this morning! White/Black/19s/No FSD. EDD updated to 9/3-9/6. Ordered pre-refresh. VIN ending in 439XXX. Delivery at Peabody MA.

Agree, I'd say $1000 seems more standard or reasonable even. Same as Rivian, Lucid, etc...

It used to be $2000, fully refundable though.

Today, we got a VIN and a couple hours later our EDD window dropped from 9 days to only 4 days. I stopped in at one of the local Chicago area Tesla stores to ask about delivery and payment logistics, and the person at the desk looked up our order. He said it showed that the car was “in transit” and due to arrive there on September 1st, but they will need about 48 hours to inspect and prepare the car for delivery.

It’s beginning to seem like this might be real, and we may be getting a car “only” 9 months after we ordered it!

Oh and do you show a February delivery date (which is a bug that appears just after you get a VIN)?

Looks like Chicago area and even east coast orders are getting prioritized over Bay Area. I have RN 1143, ordered early Jan, pearl
White with black interior, no fsd, 19” wheels. Still no VIN and EDD 9/8-9/20!
