I am expected to take delivery in Rome, Italy, arount Sep 15th (conservative, on their part). I convinced my delivery specialist to tell me my Model Y is expected in Italy (not necessarily at Rome Tesla Store) on Sep. 10th.
I am guessing my car may be on
Lake Geneva, Zeebrugge on Sep. 3rd. Do you guys think it would make sense?
Glovis Summit (Zee Aug 25th)
Glovis Companion (Zee Sep 2)
are also an option. But, I *think* my contact at Rome Tesla Store mentioned it is not on a Glovis ans he was going through their records and thinking out loud at the phone.
What do you guys think?
BTW, *amazing* fun thread, and thank you @mrmiserable for so much work and all the good and valuable info!
P.S.:
fun story: I have been following the Glovis Summit which arrived to Zeebrugge on Aug 15th, only to discover today that the Model Y originally assigned to me was part of a lot that Telsa re-destined to the local Chineese market, "last minute". So, it never left Shanghai. This change was reflected in a VIN change I detected in August, but, at the time, did not know what it meant and naively assumed my new unit was still on the Glovis Summit.
I reserved my MY on the Unveil Day in March 2019, so I was quite sure I'd receive it *this* week, being among the first in EU.
Not the case.
So, here I am again hunting for cargo ships with all of you guys.
