Accidental Emergency Brake

Accidentally pressed the emergency parking brake thinking it was my window washer at about 10mph. Came to a stop but with a weird noise coming from the front, like a ABS system kicking in but it wasn’t. Considering the emergency brakes are at the rear, I’m wondering what is going on at the front?

I've noticed mine does that as well. I assume it is using the brakes to stop the car as an emergency backup in case for some reason you can't hit the brake pedal? Just a guess. Always meant to look it up in the manual.

IIRC, there is no special emergency brake. Pressing that button just activates the brakes. Holding it releases and reapplies the brakes. Pressing it three times makes you start using the word "break."
