In less than 3 weeks of owning my M3, someone scraped their car against mine while it was parked and unoccupied. I was livid, but to the person's credit, they stayed on the scene and admitted to the deed. There's a pretty good scrape on the rear bumper and the side was dislocated from the rest of the body, just below the charging port.
Before this incident, I had a scheduled appointment with the service center for a delivery defect, a paint chip on part of the rear bumper. The delivery lead they would end up sanding and repainting the entire bumper to address the defect. While this is being worked out through the insurance companies, do you think Tesla would repair the entire bumper since they were going to repaint anyway? Also, would any of you use a repair shop other than Tesla service center for this type of work?
My M3 has less than 1000 miles on it, and this incident has really caused some anguish.
