Air Suspension for Model Y

I would be not .. they are trying to penetrate the sub $50K market with the 3 and the Y .. air suspension is expensive and will likely remain in the high end models.

Agreed. I find the ride of my Model 3 very rough compared to the air suspension on my Model X.
I really hope that the Y has a heated steering wheel.

I wish it had air suspension, heated steering wheel, two displays and falcon wing doors. That would be so cool.
That would be a MX then, lol
agreed though. My 2018 XC60 has air suspension. I hope I can live without it...

While the parent poster was joking here, the problem is that MX is too large, especially in Europe. Even the M3 is both longer and slightly wider than my Subaru, an X would have many troubles parking (itself) in many places.
So yes, I’d be actually interested in a Y-sized vehicle with the X features.

Recent posts show air suspension in an upcoming Tesla Model 3 parts catalog.
If it includes adaptive suspension as well, it could be a significant upgrade for the firm riding Model 3.
Imagine it will be coming at some time for Model Y.
Air suspension in the X provides for load leveling and towing. Adaptive suspension gives smoother rides at casual speeds plus much better control when driven aggressively or at higher speeds.
Owners will no longer need to buy cool looking lowering kits or scrape going up steep driveways.
So many benefits to adjusting the ride height for different circumstances.
Predict the adaptive suspension will also provide tremendous improvements in ride and handling it it comes as a reasonably priced package.

Given that a number of the small luxury SUVs (BMW X3, Mercedes GLC, Volvo XC60) offer at least adaptive dampers (and the Volvo has air suspension on top of that) it would be nice if the Model Y offered at least adaptive dampers...or minimally Tesla recognized that "sport" isn't the right suspension tune for the Model Y vs. 3.

Elon Musk has said directly that Model 3 and Y will not get air suspension, only S, X and Cybertruck.
He says a lot of stuff - his reality is "evolving"....like when he said the 3 would get air suspension when dual motors came out. kind of hard to believe that parts catalog happened by "accident".

I was in a showroom today and I heard a gentleman ask if an air suspension was offered as an OTA upgrade on his Model S.
