All local inventory is GONE

Anyone else noticed that the local inventory sold out really quick when they made it public?

New & Used Electric Cars | Tesla

Atleast for my area (Tampa / Orlando ).

I'm still confused about what determines if they place the listing on the web site, because according to my delivery specialist, they listed off some that I didn't see on the web site.

I have a SR + / blue / white interior on order, and I'm paranoid its going to take way longer than the two weeks. They offered me a LR AWD / blue / white interior and I'm tempted to take it.... if someone else didn't get it!

Just adding another data point. Washington DC area; when they first added the Model 3 to their inventory site, it showed 39 Model 3s in stock. Last checked maybe 2 days ago and it showed 19. I guess it's possible all 19 sold in that time, but I think it's equally likely their inventory site is just experiencing a bug.

You may be right. Similarly the other day everyone who had an pending order in their account noticed it was deleted. Perhaps they are doing some more updates to the web site.

Chicago had 32 3 last Friday. Yesterday morning it was 15. Last night it dropped to 0 and is still 0.

Last Friday vs now for the other cars:
20 X -> 35
17 S -> 29

A problem with "tracking" is without recording the VIN number we have no idea if a car was sold and replaced. I am wondering if the 3s we had were transferred somewhere else. Since S and X inventory went up they must have had a delivery and maybe those trucks took away the 3s to fill orders elsewhere. Just a guess.

I've head rumors on this forum that Tesla isn't making any Model 3s for the US... they are shipping them all over seas. Perhaps any that are getting delivered are just ones in inventory? And that is why they are going so fast? Would explain why some people get their car within days and some wait way more than 2 weeks.

This is an opinion based on observing how the company is run and how general start-ups work.

I think it’s a bug or being worked on. I have seen the lots where Tesla keeps their inventory vehicles and there are plenty. I’m not even sure the website will list everything, it’ll list the highest value (cost) offerings.

I think it’s correct that they have inventory that is older and doesn’t match customer needs, old trims no longer made, 2018 cars with older firmware, slight dents, and ones that has issues that need repairs/tweaks that arn’t worth prioritizing over customers repairs/fixes. They are a car start-up and more focused on pushing out the latest and addressing customers than dealing with old inventory for now. I do think they’ll use some of the cars for parts at some point and or sell them deeply discounted “refurbished” (bad time right now because everyone that paid full price might be livid).

Again just speculation.

42017456-7E7B-4AE7-91D9-546FEBA4AD7B.jpeg It’s not gone, just not always visible. There were 25 floaters early this week today I found 14 left of those still left. Real order today VINs although your mileage may vary.
Things got a little upended with the rush for SR Then up-sell To SR Plus.

Was the offer for the LR AWD the same price as you were paying for the SR +? Or were you just willing to pay the difference?
