Aluminium body Vs. Road salt

Wow such a big place, seems I finally found the local pad

it will be a while yet before we know anything here.
... for a lot of things ! Seems right now they are halving 1st year repairs, but who knows what we're up for long-term. As for my biggest corrosion fear:

caused by insufficient galvanic isolation between the magnesium alloy carrier and the stainless bolts
Greets and thanks Doug_G for this great resource.

I'm quite optimistic about this car in the salt and snow as far as both body and frame have something unique to offer -- the aluminum skin on top, and the mostly sealed systems below. As long as this whole isolation thing has been properly addressed that is. So many different metals on this car, it doesn't take long for a reaction to turn metal into dust... but it's also not the first mixed metal mass produced car.

If this is in the front bumper, I think I need it on my 2015 70D. I can't wait to ask the Service guy for the TSB for the corrosion caused by insufficient galvanic isolation :lol
