Not sure where or how big the resonant chip is, trying to bribe my dentist to xray my card to see...
Just drop it in a jar of acetone and you'll find out
...of course, you'll then have to buy another keycard

Issue of signal remains. I’ve used my watch to start when I enter the car with bluetooth off for some random reason. As I understand it, an Apple Watch with cellular capability also works (even without an iPhone around)… useful for runners/athletes who don’t want to carry their wallet with them.
What makes it convenient? You dont' carry a wallet anyway?Been living on the edge. It's just so convenient. Haven't been burned yet.
Has anyone ever been locked out and had to ask someone to bring them their key card?

I had a flat and had to have my car towed to the Tesla service center. When filling out the after-hours dropoff, it asked that I drop the key in the service box as well; not sure if the service center can otherwise move the car without a key.
I always carry the card in my wallet, but I tell every valet I don't have one, and park my car on my own.
Yeah, I forgot wallets are old-fashioned. But the core of it is: any driver still carries a license around, so why is another thin card a burden?I don't carry a wallet, haven't for ages.
But I do keep the key card in between my phone and the phone case.

Have you had law enforcement accept a phone picture in lieu of the actual license?Nope, don't carry that either. I have pics of everything in a secure folder on my phone. So far, that's worked out fine. Just me, but no, I'm not carrying a separate card on my person anywhere. Just me.
THAT IS A GREAT QUESTION!Have you had law enforcement accept a phone picture in lieu of the actual license?

I don’t carry my wallet, pay for everything using my phone or my watch. Leave all IDs in the car. The only things I carry in my pocket are my phone and lip balm. Insert lips emoji here. What makes it convenient? You dont' carry a wallet anyway?
